I wasn't suggesting we bring our own supply, merely wondering how out of hand this could get for your morgue contact.

( Several transitioned vampires are still a handful for one, no matter how old. )

I suppose that depends how many of them are going to want to transition.

[Because hunters are a stubborn breed. While some forms of vampirism do have a cure, including this one, not all of them are well known or easy to find.]

Some may just want to end things peacefully.

Dramatically, at that.

( Everyone deserves their choice. )

Then let's sit down to our meal.

[And they will eat, and a few hours later as promised, they will arrive with blood bags, and Rene will walk them in to help him give the big speech. You are in transition. You will die if you don't turn. And ...]

[The room sits in silence, while most of the hunters eye Elijah, aware of who he is. One of the hunters, a grizzly woman in her fifties, focuses on Bela.

"You're Bela Talbot. Everyone was wonderin' what happened to you. The Winchesters said you bit it back in '08."

She purses her lips.]

Technically I did.

["Mmmm." Then she shakes her head. "I'm not turning into one of you. If I'm gonna go out, I'll go out as I am."

Five of the other faces nod in agreement, grim determination to preserve their humanity. They don't want to take that chance. But two of the younger hunters, that had clustered close together when they woke up, look a bit more uncertain.

Bela takes note, before nodding to the rest.]

Then I hope you'll all understand why we can't let you leave this room. Accidents happen, and we intend to respect your wishes.

You will live out the end of your lives with dignity, and away from being a danger to others.

( He too takes note of the two youngest. )

We are here for comfort, for solace, and for any remaining questions you may have.

[Bela nods, and they turn to have a brief conversation with Rene, reviewing logistics. The hunters cordon off into a corner as they discuss, and eventually the two make their way closer, one hand rubbing their arm.

"We ... we don't want to die." The one who speaks glances back to the rest of the group. "But they won't understand."

Bela glances to Elijah, before nodding.]

We can figure something out.

It has always been a choice, one you can make for yourself. It's how you live with the consequences, that matters. Where are you from?

["Nebraska. We were actually kind of looking forward to getting out."

Joining up with Monroe was an opportunity, doing what they already knew how to do best. They didn't think it would land them here.

The second hunter shakes their head. "So much for seeing the world."]

That isn't off the table. But, what is, is the life you thought you'd have. You could have more. With work and willingness. And patience.

["We can be patient." This might feel impulsive, but they'd be willing to work at it. The second hunter nods in agreement.

"We don't want to hurt anyone. We'll work at it."

Bela nods.]

Though there may be moments where you won't have a choice. I hope you're prepared for that as well.

[The two look at each other, before shrugging. "They wouldn't be the first people we've killed. Hunting is messy."

"But I'm sure you already know that."]

She's aware. As are we all. You can say your goodbyes, but if you're going to be doing this, it won't be here.

( He exchanges a look with Rene behind them. )

We also need to find you a location with minimal sunlight.

Fortunately that's most of the morgue.

[Rene glances over to the rest of the group. "Use my office. No daylight ring for me, so there aren't any windows in there, just in case I'm working late. I'll keep the rest of them busy here."

Bela nods. Likely for the best. Wouldn't want the rest of them to try and get in one last hunt. She takes the key card from Rene and the shorter man wanders off to keep the remaining six busy.]

Follow me. We still have some time before daylight - hopefully you won't have to stay here for too line.

How much do you know about vampires? And not what your parents or colleagues told you about the boogeyman.

( Hunters and their indoctrinations. They're going to need facts, not fears and embellishments. )

["Can't go out in the sun. Can mess with people's minds. Drinks blood to survive."

You know, the basics. The other hunter nods in agreement, because if they're eliminating everything they needed to know to hunt them, there isn't much left.]

( Once in the office, Elijah explains everything in depth. Heightened emotions and an amplification of their best and worst traits. What they should avoid, the misconceptions and the difference in canon. And that they are one breed of vampire, born of magic. not the Old Ones. )

[Their faces do pale as they process all of this, not prepared for the true weight of it all. But in the end they swallow and nod.

"We're still in."

It will take time to figure out, but they can do it.]

We can send someone to - to aid in the transition. And you will be of big help to each other. You will need one another in this.

( Elijah has learned firsthand what isolation does to a newly born (or reborn) vampire. )

[They look at each other again, and hunter one takes the other's hand as they nod. They've gotten each other this far. They can get each other through the rest of forever.

Bela reaches into her bag and pulls out two of the blood bags. With a deep breath, she holds them out to the two of them.]

Whenever you're ready.

[And they hesitate one last time before taking the blood bags from her and beginning the transition.]

( As they adjust, he takes Bela back outside, closing the door behind them. )

Perhaps, since we're taking our leave, they could house sit for us, as it were.

[She glances back over her shoulder.]

We could have Rene and some of the other local vampires check on them. They'll need the support.

If Rene is up to the task.

( Rene also has a life and an occupation. )

I think he will be. And it's not as though we don't have other friends who can assist.

[She tips her head to the side.]

Two newly turned vampires is a much more manageable number than eight.

Zero is more manageable than two, but you're correct. Rene and our friends can assist where needed.

( What timing. Right when they decided to leave. )

[She nods in agreement.]

But thank you, for coming with me to manage this.

We're partners.

( Ever since she'd found him and saved him. Partners and equals. )
