But, he's going to give as good as he's getting. ) I don't know what your brother did, Kier ( SOS or not, he didn't witness anything. But, he did read the name that flashed across the screen ) I just know him.

You know him, but you don't know what he did and you're answering his phone. You know that sounds more than a little suspicious, right?

[But figuring out anything over the phone when she can't see his face, whoever the fuck this is. She sets her jaw.]

( This is his stickiest job, yet. He regrets the parameters now. )

I'm more than a little suspicious. ( Who he is as a whole, Kieran. And. ) He is where he was last. That's all I can tell you and you're lucky you're getting that much. I gotta go.

( And he hangs up quickly.

Kol knocks on the door about a second, two later.

"Everything ready?" )

[She doesn't really have a chance to catch her breath, to think. She fires off a text to Alexander, demanding to know where he and the group have set up shop, intending to tear into him in person.

Then, she takes a breath and turns back to Kol.]

I can't go with you.

[She knows she can't ask him to abandon his sister, if she might be in trouble, even if it's to save her own sibling. She knows she's handling this on her own, but she can't help but feel a little disappointed that this is how it's going to go.]

What's gone on?

( It's been... five minutes? And focusing on everything Rebekah and Elijah's phone conversation, he did not hear Kieran's. )

My brother's gotten his dumbass into trouble, and I need to go make sure he's okay. My pendant cracked and then some asshole answered his phone and was being a fucking creep about it.

[She takes a breath, running a hand over the top of her head.]

I know you have to go after Rebekah, but I have to handle this.

Your connective pendant?

( He tilts his head. )

You made a coniunctum nexum. ( Not the moment to find that entirely attractive, is it. ) It's your brother. I wouldn't want you to be anywhere else. He's in danger indefinitely?

I don't know enough to tell either way, but I'll let you know the moment I do.

[She pauses as her phone dings and she gets a response to her very angry text.]

But right now, I have to see if I can hitch a ride to Baltimore. That was his last known.

I'll drive you. The least I can do is detour and be an extra hand. Elijah and Klaus have their significant others and the most powerful witch in our family line on their side. So, it's settled then. We're going on our own road trip.

( She can protest. He'll let her. But, for now, he's stepping up. He didn't with Davina, not well, and he can now. )

[There's a moment when gratitude crosses her features, because she thought she was going to have to handle this on her own. It's not that she doesn't want him to come, she just didn't think she would be put first.]

Are you sure? I know how much your sister means to you.

[Rebekah specifically, they've always seemed close.]

She does. She means the world to me, especially when she's speeding in front of cars and forcing me back into this family, but, I would just be another body. Three Originals are enough and I know if they need my help, then cavalry Kol will be called.

( He says this in her arms, trying to get her to see just how he feels. )

In the meantime, we need to suss out what's up with your brother.

[She stares up at him for a moment, incredibly grateful, before pushing up on her toes to kiss him. It's far more than she expected, and probably more than she deserved, but she's grateful to have him on her side.]

( He kisses her again, but they need to get a move on. )

I have packing to do.

I'll meet you at the car.

[And with that she'll grab her bag and head down, and when she sees Scott and Davina getting ready to head out, she waves them down.]

Hey! If you guys need somewhere to go, They could probably use a hand in Baltimore.

( Scott looks at Davina. )

We hadn't made a decision. I've never been. What's in Baltimore?

[Which she hopes that they're both passingly familiar with.]

If there is a massive amount of supernaturals on a death list, they're probably going to be getting a lot of relocation requests.

[Davina shrugs in return. "It sounds ... productive?"]

I've worked with them before and a member of my pack joined a few weeks ago. If they need our help, we want to help.

( Because, yes, it sounds productive. )

[A beat.]

[Davina frowns. "Who's we?"]
