( Dean comes to the same conclusion. )

Your half of the doppelganger duo? ( To Sam, ) Dude makes it sound like they're an Icelandic pop band.

( And Katherine is much more deadly than that implies. )

Considering they're Bonnie and Clyde-ing their way across the country as we speak, I was trying something out.

[It didn't work. And it's probably best if Katherine never finds out about it. He can take notes.

But eventually Mary will poke her head out and ask the boys to help out with some of the clean up, quieting things in the bunker for a little while. And a little while later, the door pushes open, and to matching faces appear at the top of the stairs.

Elena lets out a breath when she sees the extension of it. "Wow. This is not what I was expecting when they said bunker."]

( But how fun would it be if she found out. Step aside, Von Trapp's, it's the Doppelganger Duo. Sam, react.

It's fine. Dean will gladly finish clean-up.

Allison's changing in Sam's room, while taking a moment to herself and - yes, just poking around. For something that resembles a dorm room, it's very Sam and she finds she likes his room. His furniture. Almost as much flannel as Dean's - but that's something someone dating a Winchester can't avoid.

Katherine spent the ride trying to wring all of Elena's compassion out of her. Yes, Nadia's death is tragic, yes, the soap opera twist of Natalie and Nadia's connection was - also tragic - but they are alive. Katherine still lives with what happened to that girl and Nadia's fate does compound that. But, this is Katherine with steely resolve (20)

"What were you expecting?" Impatient behind her, Katherine steps around, goes to the railing. "Not this," she answers herself. )

[She's not saying she was expecting a couple of cots and most of the space taken up by canned goods and Apocalypse prepper supplies, but she's ... not not saying that.

But that's not the point.

She slowly ventures down the stairs, glancing around as she takes all of it in.]

Dean? Anyone here?

Maybe we're walking into the second horror movie of the week.

( Sometimes, Katherine just isn't helpful.

From the kitchen, Dean kicks the rack in to the dishwasher. "In here!" He's gotten Sam, Damian and him two more beers, his sitting on the counter as he closes the dishwasher front, pushing the button for the on cycle. )

Or, he's in there. I'm right behind you.

( As she follows, she methodically scans the vast room, the war room table, the giant globe. It's all -- a bit much. )

[Elena follows the sound of his voice to the kitchen and smiles when she sees them.]

Hey, guys.

["Hey, Elena," Sam smiles, before taking his beer and getting up to give her and his brother some room. Damian peers around her and offers Katherine a smile when she appears on the other side of her.]

( "Damian." She sees beer has been given and clacks past both brothers and her mentor to stick her head in the fridge.

Leaving his beer there, Dean moves off of end of the booth and draws Elena in close. )

Detour's something you're getting from me?

Did you always find your cases in motels? Because if you did, I think it probably explains a lot.

[She wasn't looking for one of those detours but she probably shouldn't be surprised she found one. But she lets him pull her in, winding her arms around his neck.]

It was a long drive, but I'm glad we finally made it.

[Damian smirks at Katherine, sliding off his stool to give her a place to sit like a gentleman.]

More than a couple.

( And even if there weren't cases, he lives his life in and out of them.

He leans back. )

You two caught a case?

( She wrapped it up quickly. )

Yeah, sort of. A girl was taking out her frustrations on a coffee machine and into her having this spirit feeding off her. We took it out with some help from a hunter named Natalie, but the girl got hurt in the process.

[She didn't make it. But Elena doesn't want to talk about that.]

Otherwise, the trip here was pretty smooth.

( She'll get used to hanging her hat on otherwise, but hopefully not feel as desensitized to it all as Dean feels like he's become. He did work hard to shirk off the anger God has written into him, but there are times he feels like he doesn't process, doesn't feel as deeply as everyone else does, despite Castiel's protestations. His whole Miranda Hobbs level 'you love' speech in one of Dean's darkest moments. )

Caught a spirit your first time through. Maybe I'm rubbing off on you.

Possible. Or it could just be that I'm a magnet for supernatural trouble, no matter where I go.

[She smirks. Katherine likely has a comment about Elena just being unable to resist a sad face, but that's not the point of the banter in this conversation.]

I want to shower off the road, though. Where do you want me to sleep?

[Are they sharing a room? Does he want some space, given that his mom is around? Or would it be better to condense since more people are coming?]

Nah, I don't believe it.

( Mostly because, coincidences have never been a thing in his life. )

You uh - you can bunk with me. 'Less you want your space for your - girl stuff.

Didn't really have a lot of time to pack my girl stuff while running for my life. But bunking with you works for me.

[And she will let Dean lead her off and we will call this moment complete for now.]
