( the Sullivans wake up at dawn to meet the Winchesters, Elena, and a wildcard at the New Mexico Aztec ruins. it's a national monument Sam and Elena tracked down, and they have it on the only authority that this is where Hernandez' body has been hidden.
Irina stays back with Mary. it may have been years since he's had a kid, but she's not as far divorced out considering the years she missed.
Dean pulls in first. Sam sits up front and Elena and Ezra sit in the back. silence permeates the entire ride. well, silence between its' passengers. one of dean's favorite Zeppelin tapes plays front to back and front again for the duration.
the Sullivans pull up beside them not long after the group arrives.
everyone gathers their supplies, Dean shuts the trunk and Ezra holds a hand up to Elena's shoulder, first, as the group treks off into the direction of the caves Sam and Elena located. )

( it's twofold. david's alibi and the trigger they need to turn the entire board over after swiping their hands across the pieces. when sierra resurfaces, 24 hours later, the gauntlet starts, and everything that comes with it.

david and her talked it through beforehand, parking his car down the street first. her parents will be called, but likely won't be there. his will. she reminds herself and him this isn't their parents and even when they were, they weren't god's gift. they were born wanting and keeping power. and in one way they kept it.

[Sam catches that motion and his eyes meet hers, but she nods to both the Winchesters that she's okay before letting them go and head off to the cave. She turns to face Ezra and crosses her arms in front of her.]
