( Jackson lets go of Hayley's hand, inhaling. He should be with Lydia and, yeah, Stiles. If Derek's car won't work, what will? Breaking into his hotel room? He's read up on magic, always one to be studious but not one to flaunt it. While he's read only of druidic magic and the magic that anchors him, he knows there's something that will never dissipate between he and Derek. )

He turned me. Does that mean something?

[Alexander looks up at him, eyebrow raising curiously, before tipping his head to the side.]

How do you feel about bleeding?

Will it help find Derek?

( He doesn't care. He'll heal. He does check with Hayley and Stefan to see if they think this is a good idea. )

[Hayley looks more curious than dismissive. "What'd you have in mind?"]

The bond between an alpha and a beta is a metaphysical one. An exchange of power. He shared some of his with you so you're basically bonded for life, even if he's not an alpha anymore.

[It's like a tether, connecting two supernatural creatures, the same with a vampire and those turned by them.]

I can try to use that bond to lead us to Derek, and if the witch is throwing that much force at me, she might not be paying attention to the more subtle stuff.

But, he brings his hand up, presenting his palm. )

[Hayley glances to Stefan and raises an eyebrow. Stefan shrugs in return. "Worth a shot."

Alexander nods, before moving closer to the truck and readjusting the map. Then he pulls out a knife and holds his hand out for Jackson.]

( Eyes locking with Alex, he steps forward and sets his hand in Alexander's. )

If we can find Derek.

[Stefan nods, moving to lean against the car, so that Alexander can reach out if needed. He then takes Jackson's hand, turning it palm up and drawing the blade quickly and cleanly across the top.

Then he closes his eyes as he begins to chant, turning Jackson's hand over and letting the blood fall against the map, beginning to trace a path through the streets of Mystic Falls, out of town, and towards an isolated area.]

( Eyebrows. Will Derek claim the top Eyebrows spot when they find him? Jackson would like to see that, and to hear more nicknames from Alexander, if that means saving Derek and spending more time.

The slice to his hand is quick and not the most pain he's ever been through. This is a means to an end, and one he stepped up for. Literally. )

[Damon's already been labeled "Cheekbones," he's welcome to come claim it at anytime.

That being said, the blood comes up on the same resistance the ink did at first, but Alexander takes a breath, reaching over for Stefan's shoulder and continuing to push, but this time taking it a little more slowly and delicately, following the lines of the connection between Jackson and Derek until it came to a stop.

Not by force, but because it had found it's destination.]

[Hayley leans over Jackson's shoulder, before glancing to Stefan. "Should I call Klaus?"

Stefan considers, then shrugs. "It'll certainly help speed things along."

Alexander glances between the two of them before raising an eyebrow.]

I take it that means we're not doing this the Scott McCall way.

( Maybe Jackson will gain a nickname? )

They have Derek. They killed Stiles. Scott would understand.

( And Scott isn't here. )

Can Klaus do this?

[Jackson already has a name. Alexander's bothered to learn it. But if he really wants one, Alexander can probably drum one up.]

Oh, I don't think Klaus's ability is the problem. It's the overkill.

[Hayley shakes her head. "They were planning on ruining our daughter's graduation. As far as he's concerned, they've earned it." And Hayley will step off to coordinate with Klaus, finally having a target to point him at.

Alexander then nods.]

So do you need anything else from me? I have a feeling I'm gonna be a little fragile for whatever's being planned.

( He looks back at Stefan. If Klaus is overkill, then he'll be better used comforting Lydia. He fucked off being a good friend in high school. He's not going to do that now. )

Could you give me a ride to the hospital? ( He steps in again, leaning his head. ) Stay long enough so I can take you out? Maybe for breakfast?

[Everyone in this group has superhearing, Jackson. They can all hear you, but they'll let you have your privacy. Alexander just smirks in return, before nodding.]

That I can do. Good luck on your wolf hunt, kids.

[And with that, he'll step off and lead the way back to his car. Stefan gives them a small salute in return, before stepping up and looking at the map.

"I'll go see if Damon wants in, but we should hit the road sooner rather than later."

Hayley nods. "Klaus is going to meet us about a mile out, in case we decide to go in on foot."

Stefan nods and turns to head back to the house.]

( He knows they can hear, he still wants to try and make it his own moment. Their own moment. He nods to Stefan and to Hayley. Derek's not a friend. But, he's on the same side.

And then he follows. )

[He glances back to him with a smirk.]

Seems like things are about to get real exciting.

( He knows their brand of excitement, it's different than Alexander's. But, it's also different than his own. He doesn't know what will happen in trying to get Derek and he doesn't ask. He'll be rescued. Two vampires, a hybrid, and whatever Klaus is. )

Most witches tend to stay away from the Originals. Usually when the Originals are involved, witches get dead.

[Either because they helped or they tried to stop them. Alexander would prefer to not be put on Klaus's radar if he can help it.]

( He's still new to all of this. He just knows Klaus gets things done, and that he has a daughter that's going to graduate. )

[His eyes widen after a moment, like oh. You don't know.]

Original vampires. Original hybrid in Klaus's case, but the rest of them are the first vampires.

So. Old. ( Big and bad. He nods. ) I'm new. Lydia and me - we fell in with Damon. Everyone. And now Stiles is dead.

( But, Lydia felt something. )

[Alexander's face skews sympathetic. It's not the first person who's died on this crusade, but he knows that it hits close to home for Jackson. Alexander's peripherally aware of Stiles - you can't know Scott and not hear about Stiles - but not enough to be rattled by the death.]

( To be a vampire or to not be a vampire. He's not familiar with any of this. He doesn't understand. And, man he's usually more alluring than this. )

Let's just get you to the hospital and we'll figure it out from there.

( He climbs into Alexander's car, the likes of which Jackson does not make commentary toward.

And he quickly sends Lydia a message. )

You're good. At the witch stuff. I wouldn't have thought about what I am to Derek. Even if I don't see him as my alpha.
