( He leans forward, then, still in the front seat, but already having unbuckled his seatbelt. He brings his face close, and kisses him as a thank you.

[Oh, he does. He responds in kind, one hand moving to curl around the front of his shirt to keep him close, but eventually he pulls back, holding up a finger.]

Coming up to the nurse's station with his back to Lydia and the women, Jackson asks the nurse about - )

[Lydia moves down the hallway the moment she sees him, not wanting him to waste time with the nurses when she's right there.]

( Before they go over there, he wraps her up in a tight, protective hug. )

[Which she will take because she honestly needs it. As mad as Dean's statements had made her, she tends to run cold, not hot. She wraps her arms around him just as tightly, keeping him close.]

( He knows she's physically okay. )

You were in an accident?

[She nods.]

They t-boned us right off the road. And then they tried for overkill with guns.

Caroline gave me some of her blood, too.

[So she's also on a twenty-four hour clock and hoping that the hunters aren't brazen enough to attack the hospital the way some people were in Beacon Hills.]

( He's new to this, but that he understands. )

( He grimaces, tilting his head. )

Caroline gave him blood first. But when the gunshots happened, we were trapped in the car.

[So there was nowhere for him to go.]

He hasn't woken up yet, but when he does, Caroline says he has to make a choice.

( He knows. )

What do you think he'll do?

I don't know. But the Winchesters are already issuing ultimatums about what will happen if he "goes off the rails."

[And she's fairly unhappy about what those ultimatums are.]

They're hunters. We really trust them?

( Vampires. Werewolves. How... far away on the spectrum are they to one another? )

Why are they involved?

Allison trusts them.

[But Allison doesn't know about Stiles yet. She's not looking forward to having that conversation with her or Scott, but she's going to have to do that sooner or later.]

Maybe we should ask her.

( He's always trusted and respected Allison. They connected in a way that even he and Lydia hadn't. She saw him as a person. )
