Good morning. Ooh, breakfast. Sometimes, I think about trading up, ( She shares, crossing her arms beside him. ) but then he cooks.

It's unfortunately rare that we have a kitchen that meets my standards.

[He places one of the plates of Eggs Florentine on the counter for Katherine to take, and she can likely smell that the coffee is fresh.]

How about you, Sam? Eggs Florentine?

["No, actually, I can't stay long. I just wanted to give you a heads up. Allison Argent is in town."

Damian nods, considering, before looking at him curiously, almost as though he's not sure what Sam is getting at.]

It's been a while. How's Allison doing?

( Yes, please, Damian. After setting her plate down in the dining room, she's indeed back for coffee. )

Allison Argent. To what do we owe this hunter royalty.

( Katherine spent most of the night before downstairs in the basement or her bedroom. Not many keep her apprised.

As for Jackson, an arm grips the back of the couch and he, too, rises.

"Something smells five star." )

[Well, Jackson, you are welcome to wander out as well and see what's cooking. Sam mostly looks tired.]

Her friend is the one who died in the accident last night.

And she's here to back us up at graduation. But as I was briefing her on the situation -

[Damian's head snaps up and he groans. "You told her about the hunter in the basement, didn't you?"

Sam holds up his hands.]

I wasn't aware that it was a secret. Or that you two had a bad history.

I know bad history.

( Jackson's up, eyeing Katherine's plate as she returns to her place setting. Excuse you, Jackson.

"Please. Who among us doesn't have a little bad blood between them." That's Katherine for you. But, she has bad blood with half the party.

Jackson approaches Damian. )

If I invited someone over, could there be more? The witch who helped find Derek. I owe him.

I know she disapproves of my line of work. Which, fair. Even I disapprove of what my line of work used to be. However, I don't think there's anything wrong with getting paid. Altruism doesn't keep you fed.

[He's just saying. Sam holds up his hands.

"I'm just keeping you in the loop so you don't get blindsided. She's going to want a full report on your and Damon's plan."

Damian makes a face, because that plan was mostly him making the best of a bad situation, but whatever. He'll make it work. He turns to Jackson.]

If I do, will you put in a good word for me with the Lady Argent? I'm not above bribery.

"What line of work were you in?" Jackson asks, before he can make that promise. He's planning on making it. Jackson vouching for someone goes a long way. Because, Jackson doesn't vouch for anyone. Looks like he'll be sponsoring Alexander and Damian. )

He found himself in possession of... things that needed procuring.

I was a broker, mostly. There's a really lucrative market for magical items. You can sell them like you sell antiques. I also did some light hunting - cleansing haunted houses, taking care of a vampire nest here and there, but I dared to charge for my services instead of accurring charges for credit card fraud like Sam here or having an equally questionable cover like I don't know ... selling weapons?

[Looking at you, Argent family.]

I don't do so much of the brokering work anymore, but I do still occasionally get paid for hunting jobs by old clients.

You go where the money is. I can respect that. And I can put a word in. Breakfast?

( He has his phone in his right hand.

"Very subtle digs," Katherine says, loving that none of this drama is about her. )

[And he nods to Jackson.]

I can do breakfast. Do you have any preferences?

[And Sam is just going to see himself out of this conversation, warning given. He gives a wave to the room and gives an excuse about having to do some errands before graduation before making his exit.]

He was eyeing my eggs Florentine like it was a small, injured game.

( Katherine pointedly makes her commentary - oh, is that the morning paper. Life & Style, yes.

"You don't need to make anything special. More special" They do look good. Just in case, he does send a message.

[Eggs Florentine it is. Damian will pause to eat his own breakfast while Jackson makes the arrangements.]

Nothing with food anyway. I can be there in thirty.

( Thirty gives Jackson time to -- if not change, freshen up and at least steam his shirt. Thank you, Damon Salvatore. While he does that, Katherine sits with Damian.

"And here I thought I was usually the one that won friends and influenced people. How bad is it with Allison Argent? Are we going to be benched?" )

[Bees. Also Zithromax. It's an antibiotic.

Damian shrugs, because how's he supposed to know.]

I don't know. I mostly dealt with her father, not Allison as she didn't really want much to do with me, but it's been almost a decade. I didn't know she held such a grudge.

Holding a grudge implies a reason behind the grudge, Damian. Is it something you can apologize for? Is this one of your to the highest bitter scenarios?

Damian shrugs, before shaking his head.]

I'm not going to apologize for doing my job. As far as I know, I never did anything to her, personally. Her family was the one that was paying me.

[So who knows?]

We'll figure it out when she gets here.

( In truth, Allison's regime has changed and so has the Argent agenda. What he did for them in the past, Allison didn't like, once she'd heard about it. Things a Kate Argent or Gerard might want him to do, but not things Allison needs - or is willing. )

Looking forward to it. I, for one, like the big house we're occupying for who knows how long. I meant it when I say we should find somewhere to - permanently reside.

[Which is fair, honestly.]

Well, we do have some properties to choose from. Or I could liquidate them and we could find something new. We have options.

I didn't realize it was so different than the usual me.

[He's teasing, mostly, but never let it be said that he couldn't go against the grain every now and then.]

Jackson cleans himself up and about ten-fifteen minutes later comes back down the stairs. In the meantime, a quick text to Lydia.

["I think we can certainly make that work."

Lydia glances down at her phone, having opted to get herself a cup of coffee while Scott and Allison dealt with Stiles.]

He turned. But due to the whole "can't be out in the daylight" thing, he's stuck here until he gets a daylight ring.

He's coming to Damon's for breakfast. The daylight ring will be taken care of. We'll go back to the hospital after.

Also, Derek is going to need my help after that. What are your plans today? Keeping Stiles ADD in check?

I was going to keep him company until he got out of here. Caroline has to be at the graduation, so she can't exactly be watching him too.
