And not long after the Hales disappear, Alexander once again strides in like he owns the place. His head tips up when he catches the scent of breakfast.]

Mixing the species is where it gets a little dicey.

[Honestly she doesn't know how his magic would interact with Jackson's kind of werewolf. In theory there are witch-wolves of his kind of werewolf - he's never met one - but no one who was ever bitten.]

I know that I definitely can't be a vampire though. General rule of thumb, you get turned you lose your magic.

( He's not an expert, so learning more about this, it could help. And it stops him from continuing to ask, ask, ask things of Alexander. )

Nature strives for balance. Every strong thing must have a weakness and every action must have a consequence. Everything that lives, must be able to die in some form. When witches try to manipulate that balance, they have to pay the cost.

[He shrugs.]

Vampires are a perversion of nature. Therefore, if a witch chooses to become one, they're choosing to give up their magic as a result.

( He gets a smirk back. It's a flirtation he likes to string along, lightly, but when Jackson wants something, he goes for it. It worked for him with Ethan. Maybe it will work here. )
