I am. Are you asking me for one?
no subject
( He sets the fork down. )
It's your timing. Perfect for me. Too perfect for everyone else. If you can't, Caroline Forbes might have other avenues. You don't have to say yes. I don't ask for all of this.
( But he is, isn't he. )
Maybe we can focus on the eggs. Tell me about your - ( What would Jackson want to talk about. ) being a witch. Were you always a witch?
no subject
[It is not Maybelline.]
And I'll do it. But you'll owe me a favor, to be claimed later.
[It's clear from his tone that it will not be a serious favor, but no, Jackson doesn't get to know what it is now.]
no subject
( Jackson Whittemore? Cocky?
But now it's time to eat. And chat while eating and not describing such descriptive eating! )
Being a witch isn't Maybelline.

[Alexander looks up with a smirk.]
You've either got it, or you don't.
no subject
( How do you like them egg rolls, Mr. Goldstone! He's liking these eggs, though. )
no subject
[Honestly she doesn't know how his magic would interact with Jackson's kind of werewolf. In theory there are witch-wolves of his kind of werewolf - he's never met one - but no one who was ever bitten.]
I know that I definitely can't be a vampire though. General rule of thumb, you get turned you lose your magic.
no subject
( He's not an expert, so learning more about this, it could help. And it stops him from continuing to ask, ask, ask things of Alexander. )
no subject
[He shrugs.]
Vampires are a perversion of nature. Therefore, if a witch chooses to become one, they're choosing to give up their magic as a result.
no subject
( He gets a smirk back. It's a flirtation he likes to string along, lightly, but when Jackson wants something, he goes for it. It worked for him with Ethan. Maybe it will work here. )
Are werewolves imbalance? Perverse?
no subject
[And that much is true.]
I've never met a witch who was bitten by an alpha.
no subject
( He grins. )
How are the eggs?
no subject
[He smirks.]
I don't know who you bribed for them, but I offer my thanks.
no subject
( It's something he took the time learning and experimenting. Lazy Sundays and weekdays with Ethan before meeting friends or taking in events. )
Thanks for not docking points.
no subject
[Because he's well-aware of how the supernatural world works. Sometimes you have to make use of the resources you have, or things come up that are more important.]
Have you done something wrong that I should know about?
no subject
( Apparently, they have bad blood. )
no subject
[He glances back over his shoulder to see if he can catch a glimpse of this mysterious hunter.]
Which one was it?
no subject
( Katherine stands nearby, impatient, no doubt from her earlier idea. Werewolf hearing does its' thing. )
You recognize him?
no subject
Alexander glances back, appraising for a moment, before nodding.]
Damian Jericho. There are worse hunters out there to vouch for. And honestly I don't think he's bad, he just ... goes against the grain. Most hunters are whiskey soaked revenge-mongers, Winchesters included. I'd almost rather work with someone like Damian, but I'm a minority in that.
no subject
( He likes the opinionated. )
Dean Winchester threatened Stiles.
no subject
[He takes a breath, because he probably shouldn't speak ill of those who might kill him, but Jackson should probably be aware.]
You know, they talk about how Monore is militarizing people? Sam and Dean had that happen to them as kids. Their dad spent most of their childhood shuffling them around from hunt to hunt. So to a certain extent, they've never seen options like Damian's as viable ones. All the people they've learned how to hunt from are those who lost something to the supernatural, and were galvanized by it, rather than those who saw the ... value in the industry, so to speak. To them it's personal. It's always been personal.
[He pauses.]
I'm sure they're good guys, especially if they see the value in what Allison is doing. I'm not saying they're bad people, and they've definitely gotten softer in their old age to be working with Allison and your pack. But there's some habits that die hard.
no subject
( But, that galvanization. It's more prevalent now and more widespread thanks to Monroe. )
What's magic? To you?
no subject
[It's a hard thing to explain, honestly, and he isn't sure there's a simple way to explain it, not to someone who was bitten and chose to become the thing they are.]
I don't know who I would be without it. My life would be very different. I would be different. I certainly wouldn't be doing this.
[He shrugs.]
At the same time, it's a responsibility. I'm not as pure in my practice as some other traditional wishes, but I do have to be careful that I'm not getting too in over my head with the dark stuff. It's a balance. Just like you have to walk with the full moons.
no subject
( He still sees the need for balance, the need for therapy, for introspection when it comes to being a good werewolf. Both a good werewolf and someone good at being a werewolf. )
You're a good balance.
no subject
[He appreciates the vote of confidence.]
You seem like you're managing your balance well too.
