[As the three of them start talking about housing options, Cora turns to her brother.]

Do you need a ride to the airport?

( "I should leave the car with you," he admits. "Flight's not for a few hours. Should we get our own table?" Eat? )

So, five bedrooms for when Stiles graduates vampire college.

[Cora nods and off to the side they go to grab some food. Probably will sit at the bar to be an appropriate distance away from the plotting friends.

Lydia nods.]

That's a fairly sizeable place. Do you think there's something available?

[matriarchate]

( Damon hands them menus and complimentary Moscow mules.

It's an old town. There might be properties like that. Only one way to find out.

( "What about the Lockwood's. They're like an estate, right?" )

They are also a historical landmark.

And I think someone lives there.

[Maybe not all of the time but some of the time. That being said.]

If we don't find anything, we could also always just rent two apartments. Three in one two in another.

[She rolls her eyes.]

I'm just saying that we have options.

We do. We'll find something. We have a plan, now. That's something.

[Lydia nods.]

So what are we going to do with the Winchesters?

[Because the Beacon Hills kids have a reason to sit still - what are they going to do with Sam and Dean?]

Dean texted. He's sticking around. I was going to touch base with Sam, see what his plans were. They usually stick close together.

( She looks to Scott and then Stiles. )

Having them close by could be good.

[beanchaointe]

[Lydia presses her lips together, because she's still remembering that line about what they would do to Stiles if he didn't live up to their vision of a vampire. But it's Allison call, and if she still trusts them, Lydia will fall in line.]

Hopefully they won't be staying at the house too.

[matriarchate]

They aren't invited.

( Allison remembers, too, and Stiles has sat back again, arms crossed. It is Allison's call.

"We all know my appetite regularly. And, we're working overtime on keeping it in check. We don't think Dean's staying close to keep me close, right?" )

I don't think so. I think that tensions were high that night. Sam reassured me. But, we don't forget. If he's keeping close, then we're keeping close. He's not involved with the school, right?

He had a student there.

[Because the kid came to fix Elena, so Lydia knows that much.]

He mostly seemed concerned about Elena Gilbert though.

I didn't know they knew each other. It's naive to think this was all one big coincidence.

( But, it was, right? Lydia being here. Jackson being here. The Winchesters being here.

"Do you think you were drawn here?" Scott asks Lydia, picking up a menu finally, a gnawing hunger getting at him. What, Stiles talked about hunger. He's also had a ravenous appetite. )

Drawn? Not unless whatever death spirits trying to communicate with me had the ability to conjure a major storm out of thin air.

[But would she had felt the call if she had kept passing through? If the roads had been clear and nothing had gotten in her way?

She doesn't know. She didn't look at things that closely.]

But even if I wasn't here, the Winchesters would have been. Either way, the troops would have been mobilized.

[Just maybe in different directions.]

You're right. We probably would've been brought in, anyway.

( But wouldn't it be different. Would Stiles have been here? He doesn't know. They can't undo any of it. )

They're lucky you were here. They are.

[She fights the urge to glance back at Damon because she isn't sure if she feels that way, or if they feel the same way. But everyone, for the most part, was safe. That's all that matters, right?]

I guess so. Now we just have to figure out the rest of this.

[phonetically]

Good thing we have Lydia Martin on the case. I wouldn't choose anyone else.

( He gives an encouraging look. One of his best friends. A woman he trusts more than anything, someone he sees as an equal. Where once she was idolized, he was in love with the idea of her, she's the person she trusts the most next to Scott. And next to Allison. Allison is more -- a different department when it comes down to it. He is still Scott's pack. But, she's also a friend. They're all on the same side. )

If Dean Winchester tries anything, I'll pull a Roadrunner and leave behind a cloud in the shape of me.

[And she hopes that Caroline will also be there to protect him, but the real important thing was making sure that Stiles survives.]

I'd probably try to avoid feeding in front of him, just to be safe.

[matriarchate]

School is out for the summer and his son graduated, so I don't think ou have to worry about that, Stiles. And, I don't think Caroline will have him drinking blood out in the open. I don't - think?

( "Yeah, no. That's a big no. Behind closed doors." )

See. We know Dean threatened him, but he won't be alone. Caroline - and Scott will be there.

[Lydia nods. They will figure things out, one way or another.]

Let's start with finding somewhere to live, then we'll figure out what to do about hunters with itchy trigger fingers.

[matriarchate]

Stiles, can I talk to Lydia for a second?

( Stiles nods, climbing out of the booth, Scott getting up, too. To the bar with them! )

What Dean said wasn't okay. I won't lose sight of it. But, we are working with them. They helped at graduation. They're better helping us, than on the other side. My dad trusts them. And, yes, with Sam there to rein him in if he needs it, I trust them, too. I have to. Do you truly think Stiles is in real danger with Dean staying in town?

( Yes, this is her decision, but he listens to her friends. To Scott, yes, as Pack leader, but Lydia - for her input and counsel. And - maybe some personal BFF time after today. )

[She takes a deep breath, before shaking her head.]

Dean wasn't the only one who was a little tense.

[Some good sleep and time to breathe had made that evident.]

I could just tell he was serious, and ... there's a lot we don't know about vampires.
