( She sits forward, resting an arm on the table. )

[Oddly enough.]
Dean wants to stick around for a while.
no subject
( Please. )
no subject
No, no.
[He pauses, because he's not sure this is his to reveal, but it'll put Allison's mind at ease.]
Because of Elena.
no subject
( That's - well, she wasn't expecting that. )
Okay.
( That's better is what that is. )
What about you?
no subject
What about me?

Is there a small town girl you're here to romance?
no subject
He eyes her, weighing his options before answering.]
No. Not one from here, anyway.
[Allison technically still counts as a small town girl, right?]
no subject
A nice girl from somewhere else? She sounds like a handful.
no subject
[He smirks as he leans back in the booth, drumming his fingers lightly against the table.]
But that tends to be what I'm into.
no subject
( She could text Lydia that dinner might be a little delayed should things move in the more horizontal direction. )
no subject
But for right now, all they're doing is leaving. There's a lot of steps before they get to that point.]
Yeah. Sure.
[He'll throw down some money for his tab, pack up his stuff, and let Allison lead.]
no subject
She quickly sends a text to Lydia. She may need to get her own food if she's hungry, Allison left with Sam... And when that goes out, they're rounding the side of the building. )
There. So, Lydia won't worry. I'm sharing her room until we find a place. ( And... ) Where are you staying?
no subject
Back at the house with Cas and Jack.
[And his brother, but he will send a text off to Dean to see where he's spending his night.
Meanwhile Lydia will just respond accordingly.]
no subject
( Okay... )
Where do teenagers go to do these things in small towns?
no subject
[Which was a long time ago, so take these recommendations with a grain of salt.]
There's the Old Mill, or the Falls or fun civil war cellars which I'm ninety percent sure some of the local werewolves use for full moons.
no subject
Civil War cellars. Is that what does it for you?
no subject
Not me. I just went to high school here.
[And let's be honest, Sam's enough of a romantic that he would probably have picked the Falls if he was going to be getting creative with his sex.]
no subject
( ...Or. )
There being the car. Did you drive here, or walk here?
no subject
[They'd still need somewhere to park, but to at least stop standing awkwardly outside the Grille:]
Want to go for a ride?
no subject
( And so they drive! )
no subject
Any vampires that would try and prey on them would be making a grave mistake.
But once they do find a good spot, Sam glances over and asks, because he isn't the kind of guy who usually goes from zero to sixty.]
So.
[A pause as he tries to figure out how to say this.]
You sure about this?
no subject
( She too goes from zero to sixty. If she's in, she's in. He didn't quite sweep her off his feet. But, she definitely knows what she wants. She's taking a page out of Lydia's handbook. )
no subject
[Not serious ones, anyway. Dean has always been the brother who moves faster, who leans into the impulsivity of it all, but that's never been Sam's strong suit.
He gets too attached. Maybe because he puts too much of his heart into it, but he does like Allison and he does want to be here.]
Just checking.
[It's the kind of line that once you slide across it you can't take it back. He wants to know what to expect. But he should also probably just shut his mouth.
He's never been good at that.]

( And out the door she climbs, the sun so close to being done setting. It's actually quite picturesque. Darker blues and hints of orange and red. )
