[But he also sees the noticeable absences. How Tamara Monroe may have been made Gerard Argent's heir in name, but lacks the rest of his living family's support. (But Allison Argent is a werewolf sympathizer.)
How the Winchesters haven't stuck their nose into things yet. (But they're dangerous, they bring the end of the world with them wherever they go, even if from personal experience he knows that isn't one hundred percent true.)
How people like Scott McCall are in Monroe's crosshairs, when he has learned since he was a kid that True Alphas generally should be left alone. (But he's still a monster. Monsters come in bloody and leave bloody. That's just the way it is.)
He shakes his head, before turning his attention back to the meeting place again.]
( The two newcomers join the witches already congregating.
Mickey has learned on the go, mostly through his training officer and now, Cooper. He gets sympathizers and why people would be, but not when it comes to dead kids and families. If witches really are as dangerous as they're made out to be? And they're killing?
But, this doesn't look like that. He scratches his chin, perching on the edge. )
[Cooper spots his brother in the crowd and adjusts his gaze. He's talking with a pair of witches Coop's seen around Monroe's people and they give a wave before they turn and head back into the building that they're watching. Weller heads in after them, but before Lucas enters, he turns to search the skyline.
He makes eye contact with his brother, gives a small salute, before turning and disappearing inside.]
[His voice trails off as he pushes up from his position, squinting down at one of the faces making an entrance. A tall, curly haired man, holding the door open for the woman next to him.]
Isaac's been trying to rally the supernatural around here to work together for a while. Maybe he's trying to make an appeal to the coven.
[That might not work in their favor, if they've already got hunters in the room. He can already feel this going sideways, but he forces himself to stay put.]
I don't like this.
[But he will text his brother: Isaac Lahey is here.]
[Especially if all Isaac is doing there is trying to make connections. There's no way to claim self defense, not really. The witches retreat into the meeting, and Cooper gestures for Mickey to follow.]
C'mon. Let's see if we can get a better vantage point.
[Cooper maneuvers them around the side of the building, in search of a window to peek in and get a better look. As they get closer, the general murmur of the meeting starts to get more heated.
( Cooper's more focused on finding a look in while Mickey flanks him from the back. Anything happens, he's there, but if a window is found, he'll throw himself flat against the building and peer around, careful. He does wrinkle his brow as the voices make up more of a din. )
[Just as he gets his eyes up over the edge of one of the windows, the fight seems to reach it's peak. One unfamiliar voice yells about how they fight monsters just as much as the hunters do.
Then there's a distinctly American voice yelling about how the witches joining the hunters is signing up to be killed last.
Then there's another voice, Weller, blowing his cover and inserting himself into a fight he doesn't belong in. He aims a gun, points directly at Isaac, and pulls the trigger.
Coop doesn't see what happens next, however. A spellwave cracks through the building, blowing the walls outward. Coop is thrown in the blast, hitting the ground hard.
His head cracks against something, and everything goes dark.]

Yeah, but you support her cause. What's to lose. We're saving people, Cooper.

It's just politics.

( The asks, looking to Cooper. )
no subject
[Not really? But he's thinking he's starting to see the edges of the plan.]
I think they might be infiltrating.
no subject
( Like that? )
You'd know better than me. Has your brother ever gone undercover?
no subject
[Sometimes it's the only way to get information.]
Not normally with the monsters though. Just usually with the people being affected, we'll play FBI or something.
no subject
What's he playing here. Witch?
no subject
[He should, and that's the thing that bugs him. They should have gone over everything together. And more importantly, he should be in there with him.]
But I don't like it.
no subject
( He doesn't know how they would. Get closer, find them inside that building... )
Do we have witches on our side?
no subject
[Coop shakes his head as he leans back.]
Let's just wait, for now. I don't want to screw up their play.

[They always have been.]
I don't like that we don't know ...
[His voice trails off as he pushes up from his position, squinting down at one of the faces making an entrance. A tall, curly haired man, holding the door open for the woman next to him.]
Wait, that's Isaac Lahey.

Werewolf Isaac Lahey? What are wolves doing with witches and hunters?

( He studied this. )
Is he making the appeal to your brother, too?
no subject
[But that's not the point.]
Probably not. I don't think he even knows Lucas is there.

Forget whatever witches are in there.
