( She looks to Spike who jumps up on one of the benches, drops down and keeps going. It's a flourish.
"Up ahead."
Three graves, fresh as of this morning because of a car accident and an assault in the park. But, vampires have gotten great at hiding their tracks, even the ones that just want to spread chaos. )
( Faith cracks her neck, squaring off. She always gets a certain look in her eye before a fight. But, still, she's backup unless a second springs up. Spike's here for pointers. You kill two slayers and you get to be special projects. That, and, it's better that he and Buffy aren't on top of one another. They had their time. )
[Mia squares up as well, but she doesn't move from her position behind the graves. If anything, she tends to prefer to come at things from an angle. It gives her the element of surprise.
But she does grab her stake, moving into position on the balls of her feet as the vampire emerges from the ground.]
( Faith would do more, but another hand pulls up through the ground, one of the car accident victims grabs her ankle and yanks her down and off her feet. )
[Well, that's unfortunate but Faith can handle herself. Once the assault victim is free, she vaults herself over the gravestone at her back, launching into an intense series of punches and kicks, trying to drive the vamp back and into a corner, away from the rest of the fray.]
( Faith rolls away and manages a kick to the face that pulls emerges. Spike gives Faith a look, is she good. Faith is, Spike should keep his eyes on Mia. It finishes its climb out with a snarl and Faith kicks back up onto her feet. )
[Mia takes a few hits here and there. She's got short arms and short legs so as much as she tries to give herself some distance, the new vamp's got more reach than she would like.
In the end, she drops to the ground, sweeping the vamp's legs out from under them and goes in to hit with the stake, driving it straight into the heart. Then she releases her breath, glancing up to see where things were with Faith and Spike.]
( Spike's just observing, ready to intervene if he needs to.
Faith ducks a few punches, jabs back. He grapples her so she drops back, sending it flying into a tombstone. Sacrilegious but. Eh. He rolls off the broken stone just in time for Faith to bicycle kick him down. It's stake time.

How do you like waiting?

[Mia sighs before shifting to lean back against the tree.]
But I can manage.

( So, you're still lucky here. )

[Mia glances down at her watch as she prepares to hurry up and wait.]
This won't make us late for our other thing, will it?
no subject
( Tonight is her exercise, tomorrow is Spike's op. )

[Still, she nods and prepares to settle and wait.
And wait.
And wait some more.
At least until the assault victim in the park starts to poke their hand through the dirt and into the fresh evening air.]
Uh, guys?

She whips her head back up. )
You see that coming?

[She's just curious.]

My new friend. He split, though. Disappeared into thin air. Think it's me?

[The banter is kind of fun, she has to admit. She doesn't think her father was ever the bantering kind of vigilante.]

( Spike didn't even lift a finger.
"Shall we, then?" )
no subject
Now can we have the victory champagne?
[Because this seems like a job well done to her.]
