Then we get terrified, like children waking in the dark, we don't know where we are.
( Bonnie, bag in hand at her side, holds the door open this time. She sighs, looking wistfully off at Danny, sullen, in the backseat. )
I wish I could make it all better, like I could undo it all, or, go back and prevent it altogether. Too many of us have no parents. No living family.
( She sighs.
From Danny's seat if or when he looks back, Bonnie and Isaac continue their discussion. Scott texts Isaac, so he pulls his phone out, eyes down quickly.
A couple approaches from the south, arm in arm. The guy in glasses leans in whispering something that makes the girl laugh. As they separate to move around Bonnie, everything happens quickly. The brunette girl brandishes a stun gun landing a blow to Isaac's side. Out of the leather jacket, the man reveals what looks to be something dark colored, with a flat bottom. He drops it. From the car, he can see a spell attempted, Bonnie's lips moving but nothing happening. She tries struggling, but the woman whacks her on the back of the back sending her down. The man quickly pulls out a pair of iron handcuffs the woman waves away, not now, and as fast as it happens, a bright yellow taxi pulls up.
Three others, including one dressed as a taxi-driver throw Bonnie and Isaac into the trunk. When everyone is inside the car, the driver puts down a black device on the top of the cab quickly, puts on a pair of leather gloves, climbs inside the cab and speeds off.
Bonnie's bag, and the contents within including her phone lie on the sidewalk next to Isaac's dropped phone.
The driver in Danny's car starts the ignition, this is probably protocol. )

( Yeah, she's hungry if she's honest. She'd like to take a beat. )
no subject
No phone, but I can still buy myself lunch.
no subject
( It's not a long walk to what's designed like an American diner, but one clearly fashioned after the sitcoms in the 60's, Jukebox and retro stools and all. But, it's warmer inside and not busy. )
no subject
I'm really sorry. About before. I was out of line, wolf-wise.
no subject
( But, that said, she plays with the paper she removed from her straw. )
You don't have to apologize. I was in danger. You were acting on instinct.
no subject
So he loses his nerve and nods.]
Yeah. Instinct.
[Let's go with that.]
no subject
Or, fear. I know the fight or flight response. I've collapsed in despair too many times to count. It's what we do after that counts. You didn't kill him, Isaac.
no subject
Yeah, you're right. It's just ... been a while since I've been that out of control.
no subject
( She reaches her hand out to take the one drumming in hers, making eye contact. )
To all of us.
no subject
As he meets her eyes, he's feeling those feelings that usually precede something like that. Bonnie is very much his type. But now is not the time or the place, and he's trying to be better at not shooting his shot by shooting himself in the foot.]
Yeah. I guess it does.
[He doesn't pull back though.]
no subject
( Look at her, Isaac. )
no subject
What I deserve isn't always what I get.
no subject
( She's now just a glorifying hand-holder, so she pulls back. The food comes and it's everything she needed, including the four refills of coffee. )
What's next? We keep moving?
no subject
[His eyes scan the windows and he stops when he spots something in the parking lot. Then he smirks.]
How are you on a motorcycle?
no subject
( And she has no experience, but is she thinking what he's thinking? It's parked, just asking to be taken. )
no subject
Are you comfortable riding on one?
no subject
( She's in. )
no subject
It's not the fastest - it's been a while since he's had to steal a ride - but he manages to do it quickly enough (13) and the motorcycle revs to life.
He grins back at her, before sliding one leg over the seat.]
Hop on.
no subject
Where to?
no subject
[That will at least keep them in contact with William if nothing else.]
no subject
( If only they had a phone of their own to locate an electronics store. )
We can keep our eyes out. Or, we can ask.
no subject
Yeah. Let's just put a little distance between here and there first.
[Then he revs the motor.]
Hang on.
[And with that, they pull out into the street and stay on the move.]
no subject
But maybe it's also that it's Isaac she's clinging to while they ride down the highway. )
