[There's a very brief flicker of a reaction to the speech, but it's not wondering if he's wronged the man in front of him. In fact, it's a more furtive glance to the two hunters on the other side of the clearing, knowing that they're going to decide his fate more than anyone else here (14).

[He still says. His expression isn't entirely guilty. In fact, he doesn't seem like he's torn up about it at all. It's more an expression of living to fight another day and being lividly angry that this vampire had managed to get the drop on him and killed his sister.]
