[Malia snarls as Allison falls, and gun fire erupts around them. The scent of blood and gunpowder fills the air as wolves and hunters clash over what was once a peaceful bit of land out of the way from New Orleans.
Malia manages to drop down next to her when the gunshots stop, playing dead for the purposes of survival. Her hand reaches out to take Allison's as the boots continue to stomp, and soon the smell of smoke fills the air.
The hunters leave as the bayou burns around them. And that's the last thing Allison sees before her wound pulls at the edges of her consciousness and pulls her under.]
