Your mother traded something to have that many children?

[Aka Freya.]
Hence why I'm a witch and not a vampire. I wasn't there to be turned.

( "And, because of that one promise, we grew up without a mediating sister, We had Rebekah when she wasn't daggered, but Freya has balanced us out proper," Kol adds. )
no subject
[Even if Klaus did break her neck a few times.]

Scott doesn't quite understand all that.
"What she means is that after contemplating whether killing our paranoid brother was best, Freya came around. I died that year, however. Gruesome curse, that was. Don't you think, Freya?" )

[At least temporarily. Most happy endings tend to be temporary in New Orleans.]

( Well. Kol is.
"That's some story," Scott says, reaching the uncomfortable portion of the exchange. Scott very rarely feels out of place or uncomfortable, able to go with most flow since Beacon Hills, but this is vampire family drama.
It's also kind of riveting.
"You guys are fine now, right? We have people to rescue." )
Don't worry, Scott McCall. I'll mind my p's and q's and only spill the blood of the damned today.

But with a nod, Freya reaches for her phone.]
I'll see where Klaus is. We should probably get started.

I wasn't aware we were inviting former guest stars to our finale. Kol.
no subject
[Sorry, Klaus, you'll have to take it up with Cami.]

Aurora. )
I thought you'd be happy to see me. Strength in Mikaelson numbers.

[Teasing, Klaus. She's teasing.]

Never sticks.

As much as I would love to have a nicer reunion, we should probably get down to business.
[They can snark at each other later.]
What did you find at the bayou?
no subject
Allison Argent attempted to reach the hunters herself. She was shot at point blank range --
( "What," Scott chokes out. )
There were other bodies left behind. A shapeshifter who aided the Bayou, from your pack.
( "No. Not Malia." )
Yes. Malia.
( Scott knows something isn't right (13), but not how. Klaus' apology is reading as more forced because of it. )

Then let's do something about this, shall we? We have three targets to cover and not a lot of time. Is Bela joining us?
no subject
( Hopefully, with a hunter in tow. Which one she chooses, he does not care.
"What Monroe wants is hate," Scott says, quietly. "She got her wish. Where am I needed?" )
no subject
[She will pause as Bela pulls up with two hunters in tow, one of them Klaus knows and one of them he doesn't. She raises an eyebrow as the three approach, before turning back to the map.]
We have the hostages here, a potential bomb making operation here, and reinforcements here. We just have to decide who's going where.
[Bela speaks up. "William Queen is working on getting the city cameras back - or at least controlling them enough to obscure our movements."]
no subject
( He moves to the map, as does Scott.
"Sorry if this question was asked before my timely arrival, but what are we planning on doing with the reinforcements?" Kol asks. Namely. Are we eating the reinforcements? )
no subject
I don't have an opinion one way or another.
[Maybe she's mellowing in her old age.]
Though I would think we'd like to avoid resurgences.
no subject
( He has the opinion and needs it stated for the record. )
I don't know how to avoid a resurgence, but we can't forget that.

Sullivan addresses Scott, not the rest. The rest are a hard sell even on a good day, given all the harm that the Mikaelsons have done. But Scott? Scott's reputation isn't that terrible. The monsters he's conquered have been actual monsters.
"But some of them you might."]
no subject
( He's decided. Everybody else can go where they please. )
no subject
Any of the three of you feeling diplomatic?
no subject
( "I'll accompany him," Elijah says, volunteering. "Should things not end up in his favor, he will have proper backup." He gives an indication to Bela, a see you later exchange of glances. "Perhaps, one of their own," Elijah supposes, looking to Sullivan or Mickey. )
