( Still impatient, Klaus' (8) isn't a sincere effort, as he is also continuing to intimidate the hunters while he searches. It's more of a surface search than anything. Though if any drawers or cabinets are locked? Yeah, he'll use his strength to break them open. )

[Bela does a bit better (16), and finds a collection of magical objects. She can't tell anything about them, but she has a feeling that it'll be useful. She starts pulling them out, letting them rest on the table next to her before she catches sight of a file towards the back.]

Looks like they were organized enough to keep an inventory.

( It's just like them to hand something to Klaus and Bela on a silver platter. He comes nearer. )

Anything that could prove useful?

( They know these hunters have only been working at half potential, if that, if they had access to these dark objects. He assumes they're dark. )

Given what they've wielded in the past, it'd probably be of great interest to your sister and her new lawyer friend. Maybe they came from the same witch.

[She taps the top of the page she just flipped to.]

Some of them were created for them by a witch called "Maura."

This would explain the dark object found in Prague. Surprising, they kept the cache. Saving it for a rainy day?

( That's to the hunter grunt currently cowering. He can answer if he'd like. )

["Boss wanted them destroyed." The voice is pitiful, but they are still answering the question asked. "But she wanted what they did cataloged in case we found another one."

Bela tips her head to the side.]

I assume you know how to do that properly and not get yourself killed with the magic backlash?

[The hunter blinks at her, confused.]

Were she concerned with professionalism, she's turn to a better recourse. In this, your choice of leader is lacking.

[Nope. All the reinforcements seem to have mysteriously disappeared. Or maybe directed elsewhere. Who knows but they're not here. Bela continues flipping through the files, before she comes up with a face, one that is unfamiliar, but clearly important.

She holds it up and turns it to face Klaus.]

Perhaps our mysterious Maura?

( He doesn't recognize her, but he is also not the premier authority on witches in this world. )

What file was she in?

[She shrugs. It's all jumbled together at this point, so it's hard to say what belongs with where.]

Maybe we should have our witch friend have a look at it.

[She deliberately doesn't use Davina's name, not wanting to give the still alive hunters any ideas or information to feed back to their boss.]

Probably should have her check out some of these objects too. Find out if they really are what they say.

They'd be best.

( He understands. )

[She closes one of the crates, but keeps hold of the file.]

Davina's come back from the dead once before.

( Excuse him hunters, but he throws a quick text together.

Bela Talbot and I stumbled on to the hunters' collection of dark objects.

And he drops a nice pin. )

[Only problem is that Davina's phone was left behind in Davina's apartment. But that's okay, because Bela would send a follow up text to William:]

We've found some dark objects that need sorting. Do you think you could quietly get Davina here?

Monroe's on the move, so, she's distracted. That shouldn't be a problem.

[And she drops a pin for William to follow before turning back to Klaus.]

Seems as though Monroe's on the move. William will bring Davina here but any interest in joining the fun?

As much as I'd like to witness Monroe's execution myself, this is more Allison Argent's fight than ours. I want to know what it is we're dealing with.

[She's willing to be they're all useful, one way or another. And with that they will just banter amicably while they're waiting for William and Davina to arrive.]

( As the hunters cower, naturally.

Carefully, William, with his laptop in a bag on his shoulder, holds a gun up as he leads Davina into the warehouse. And -- he sees Klaus and Bela (9). )

[She smiles as she glances up from the folder.]

We have a lot to catalog here. How's your magic doing?

["Better," Davina nods, before moving to join Bela next to one of the crates. "What have we got?"

Dark objects. A cadre being catalogued. Bela found the files. Davina, you're looking well.

( To mention Kol, to not mention Kol. )

[Davina looks over the crates, just doing a witchy vibe check and there's something about them that feels familiar (18). But she's not sure why quite yet.]

They all feel like they were made by the same witch. Or ... related witches.

[She moves closer to take the file.]

Monroe's lackeys, Monroe herself, or the witch on her payroll. There was a similar dark object used in Prague.

( Which is a sore subject considering his daughter was in the middle of that, but, she survived despite the hunters and the dark object. )

I can't say whether that object was made by the same person without seeing it but ...

[Her voice trails off when she catches the name "Maura" on the paperwork.]

But there was a witch named Maura that they were holding with us. She and Monroe had history.

[Bela steps forward and flips the file to the picture they found earlier. "Is that her?"

Davina looks, before shaking her head.]

No. But it seems like she's a potential target.
