( What is there to talk about. That he saw a bar full of people die before his eyes, that as the human, all he could do was be of moral support? Not to mention the second dead body they found in the church. His work with the witches led to dicey situations but none like he'd been caught in the middle of. That didn't mean he wasn't fine. Harvey Specter bounced back. He always bounced back.

Harvey closes his laptop and puts it into his bag, hearing the same. )

No, but you know our first and second years. They're like overachieving people-pleasing ghosts.

Mmm-hmmm.

[She's not so sure about that. She hasn't lived this long by being reckless and with everything that's been happening, she's not looking to let her guard down.]

We should go.

( They haunt the halls. But, he knows better than to ignore when Donna tells him something. She is the reason he is who he is and the reason he's alive. Standing up, he grabs his shoulder bag by the handle. )

Should we take the stairs?

Good idea.

[Which probably betrays more than it should that she's actually worried. With the heels she wears, she doesn't often want to take the stairs.]

Let's take the one over here.

[She points to the back corner, far away from the elevators.]

( The back stairwell? He takes her seriously, like he takes her everything, as he nods, heading to the back stairs, but he's human and really just speed walking. (4) )

[Donna follows behind him, tense, ears open for any sign of trouble, but trouble comes faster than she anticipated. The door they were intending to escape through opens, and two hunters armed with stakes are waiting for them.

"Donna Paulsen?"]

That lazy looker? She clocks out at five on the dot. She's long gone.

( Harvey freezes up, intending to mirror Donna's feign. )

She's my assistant, she'd be happy to help you during regular business hours.

[The hunters look between the two of them, before one of them reaches into their pocket, pulling out a flask. He flicks his wrist at Harvey, and there is no reaction. Just a wet suit.

Then he turns to Donna, but unfortunately there is a reaction. Her skin sizzles as she stumbles backwards with a swear.]

Vervain.

( Uncalled for, and he does flinch at that. )

This suit's worth more than your two railroad spikes ( (4) at lying about knowing what they are - but it doesn't matter because Donna smokes and flinches.

He rolls a (15) for initiative, I'm guessing he'll need to as he reacts. So, they're here for Donna. To stake Donna. He'll warn them, keeping a cool head. )

Better hunters than you have tried.

["I think we're up to the challenge." One of the hunters replies, rolling his shoulders and shifting his stance. But he and his buddy rolled a 10, so he's at the bottom of the order.

Donna, on the other hand, got a 16, so she's going to zip forward towards one of the hunters, intending to grab hold (10 vs. 8), getting him by the throat and turning him to use as a human shield for his buddy.]

( Harvey, while familiar with a scuffle, doesn't like his odds with a sharp stake involved, but he lets his anger from his ruined suit fuel his next move, which is to drop down and try and sweep the second hunter's legs (10) )

[The second hunter (H2 for future purposes) is on top of it, jumping over the leg sweep and then turning to take a swing at Harvey to keep him out of it (5). He's clearly not a boxer, or not anticipating Harvey's ability to dodge a punch, depending.

H1 on the other hand, struggles to break Donna's grip (19 vs. 4), and he manages to shove off before Donna can sink her teeth into his throat. He then turns and attempts to stake her (18 vs. 1), and while he misses the heart, it's only just barely, and she can feel the splinters of the stake graze her heart.]

( Harvey's a boxer, but not trained professionally as a hunter. The hit connects (4) but barely. Most of the force misses him, but he's still sent to the ground.

Head up, he sees Donna staked and his eyes go wide, calling out to her.

He tries rising and kneeing H2's stomach (18), before tossing him into his friend (7) )

[The knee to the stomach knocks the wind out of H2 (8), allowing him to be easily tossed back at his friend, but H1 recovers enough to dodge his flying friend (10).

It does mean he has to let go of the stake, however, so Donna recovers enough to yank it out (16), before reaching forward and attempting to grab him by the neck and sink her teeth in (15 vs. 9).]

( Harvey scrambles forward, crawling to grab the second stake but expertly fumbles with a (nat 1) and gets a handful of H2's hunter junk. )

[H2 looks down awkwardly at where Harvey's hand has landed, and honestly does not know what to do with himself. They're just going to take a moment, don't mind them (nat 1).

In the meantime, H1 tries to get away from Donna who is currently making a meal of him (11 vs. 16), but she still has a firm handle on him, and soon he slumps down to the ground, going limp from the blood loss.]

( Moment had, Harvey claws his way up to send a fist to the side of H2's head. (14) )

Donna!

[H2 ducks (16), and swings back at him (3), but he's still clearly off his game.

Donna pulls back brushing blood from the corner of her mouth.]

Sorry. But you did see that he staked me, right?

( Angles, and the two of them still being on the floor, means Harvey misses the swing (6) but barely. He has not been awakened unlike the new hunter, so he's with it. )

I was checking in.

( Not needing her help.

But, Harvey is literally just -- laying over the guy now which is weird, so he presses an arm to his neck. )

Why are you after Donna?

["Because she's a vampire. And clearly a killer."]

Again. You staked me. A girl has to recover somehow.

["Her info was on the list." H2 continues, his hands up. "Someone wanted her off the board."]

What list.

( He looks to Donna. )

Like a death pool?

["Sure. Let's call it that." He grits his teeth and tries to wriggle out from under Harvey's grip (6). "All we know, is that we were given the means to take them out."]

Rude.

Means and information. You knew she worked here. How many are on that list?

( He tries pushing harder (2), to keep him down, but he's distracted by the DANGER. )

[He holds up one hand as he inches back. "I'm going into my pocket for my phone." And provided he's not stopped, he will do just that. He'll open the lock screen and then show Harvey the list. The full database that was just dropped online featuring home addresses, work places, species, allies - the list goes on.

All there and ready for the taking. Some even had prices attached, giving enemies an opportunity to make it worth the assassin's while.]

( Harvey scans the list, recognizing several faces. Faces he just flew in from seeing and passes the phone to Donna. )

It's all of our mutuals. ( Back to him. ) Were you in this for the money or did you think my assistant was a threat to national security?
