( He gets up from his chair and steps out onto their small veranda. )
Hello, Donna. I am at this present moment entertaining a coworker, her husband, and my wife. Henry is with one of his uncles. I wouldn't presume you and Harvey have plans, but should you be near, you are more than welcome.
no subject
[She wishes it were. But there is some relief that little baby Henry is out of the way of whatever danger might be coming for them.]
Someone released a list onto the internet. A list of supernaturals, where they live, what they do, all their personal information. I'm on it, but so are you and Rebekah.
no subject
Rebekah and I are no longer supernatural. What of this list?
no subject
[It's because he and Rebekah aren't supernatural anymore that she's so concerned.]
They tried to kill me, Doc. I don't think they'll be busy making the distinction about whether or not she's still immortal when it comes to your wife.
[She's still a Mikaelson. And almost as though on cue, a knock comes on the door.]
no subject
There is a knock.
( Hit list gets through. That he understands in lamens terms. He would ask if Harvey is okay, wants to know he is in one piece, but that knock worries him.
He calls out from the balcony. )
Rebekah, are we expecting others?
no subject
[She pauses eating, and gets up to make her way to the door. Pushing up on her toes, she leans in to check the peep hole before responding.]
Who is it?
["National Grid, ma'am. We think there might be a gas leak in the building. Could you open the door?"
Donna frowns as she picks up the sound from the other end. "Be careful, Doc."]
no subject
Rebekah ( he quickly moves in from the outside area, holding the hand still holding the phone up. ) That was a - Donna, our neighbor, saying teenagers were pranking our apartments earlier about gas leaks. ( Doc has never been a good liar (2) ) Going door to door. One of those tok-tik virals. Don't pay them any mind.
( One of his pistols is in the bedroom and the other in the coat closet. They wouldn't dare attack them at their home, would they?
As if on cue, Rebekah's phone comes to life with ELIJAH across the screen. )
no subject
Elijah. To what do I owe the pleasure?
[Neal and Sara just look confused, probably.]
no subject
Doc approaches the door, choosing to lock it.
"Rebekah. It's come to our attention that our names have been released onto a dossier on the internet. The supernatural and formerly supernatural. Including yours and your husband's."
Doc suspects Elijah is calling for a similar reason Doc called. )
Is that about our ne-erdowells at the door, Rebekah?
no subject
[She nods to Doc, before taking a step back away from the door, giving Doc space to do what he needs to do. Not that she's thrilled to have hunters at her door but hunters at least she can handle.]
Yes, it is. Please tell them that we're not in the mood for their childish pranks.
no subject
Doc opens the hallway closet, reaching for his beautiful peacoat Sara got him for Christmas, with his pistol inside, hand reaching into the pocket as he unlocks the front door again. Putting on a smile, he cracks the door open enough to show he's standing there, if maybe on his way out to be somewhere.
Just let him step outside and close the door behind him. )
Gentlemen, we're entertaining. A gas leak did you say?
( Inside, Neal waits, pouring Sara more wine. )
no subject
[She sighs.]
And we have guests.
["Yes, sir." One of them looks a little surprised, like oh shit he's actually Doc Holliday, but he says nothing and lets the other guy do the talking. "We just need to check for the source of the leak. Can we come in?"]
no subject
Outside, Doc catches that look. Hopefully, it morphs into intimidation. )
I do apologize, but now is not a good time. If someone complained about the gas smell, I apologize. My chicken is a slow roasting one. I'd invite you in, but I don't know either one of you. If there is a leak, rest assured, it is not here.
no subject
[She's doing so much pouting, just out of view of the door.]
I've been planning this dinner party for weeks.
["Still, sir, we have to check ourselves, just to be safe. If it's as you say, it should only take a few minutes."]
no subject
It is as I say, and I must insist you return another time.
( (6) to intimidate his fanboy. )
no subject
"Sir, this is at the request of your landlord. If you want to pick a fight, take it up with him."]
no subject
( Hand gripping the handle of his gun, his peacoat not buttoned, he continues his minor intimidation, as he is more irritated than anything.
"Dinner party of not, there's a bounty on yours and your husbands' lives. Make up an excuse. I will be sending you the address of property Bela and I have acquired under a pseudonym." )
no subject
[These not hunters clearly don't care and when Doc puts his hand on his gun, the one closer to the door draws his own. "Shut up. Both of you." These hunters are stupid people to draw on Doc Holliday clearly, but Rebekah is pulling away from the phone to make her discontent known.]
What do you think you're doing?
[The gunpoint shifts and turns on her.]
no subject
You have just made a grave mistake.
( And as for baffling initiative?
Doc (1)
Neal (15) )
no subject
Neal 15
Sara 13
Rebekah 6
Doc 1
It looks like the hosts are flustered, given the phone calls and the brazenness of the hunters in question, so the hunters do their best to take advantage of that. Gun Guy, who has the gun on Rebekah, fires (4), but while Beks may be human, she's still fast enough to dodge out of the way (19), the bullet lodging itself on one of the frames on the art pieces nearby.
Rebekah continues to look irritated:]
Do you know how much that costs?
[Fanboy on the other hand, does not want Doc to draw his gun, so he charges in, trying to pin down his arms (6). Chance for Doc to redeem his initiative roll with that one.
But Neal and Sara would have to be both deaf and dumb to miss the sound of gunfire coming from the front room along with Rebekah's screeching.]
no subject
Neal and Sara, very familiar with gunfire, mobilize.
"Pranking teenagers don't usually carry,"
Coming around, he sees the scene before him, grabbing a nearby candlestick. He attempts to engage, whacking Fanboy (4). Considering the candlestick is small, heavy, and expensive, halfway through his movement he loses his oomph once he realizes what he's grabbed. )
no subject
Sara, on the other hand, carries her own weapons with her everywhere. She grabs one of her batons and extends it, going to have Rebekah's back with Gun Guy (18 vs. 5), knocking the gun from his hand.
Rebekah takes advantage of the moment, grabbing the other candlestick of the pair and swinging that towards the man as well (11 vs. 8), and he takes a heavy hit with it.]
no subject
You'd think the gas company would treat their customers better!
( Doc tries grasping Fanboy from the back of his fake gas company jacket to slam his head into the doorjamb. (15). )
no subject
[Fanboy can't manage to slip Doc's grip and his head collides with the doorjamb (5). He still manages to stay on his feet, but when he tries to swing back again it goes wild (5).
Gun Guy apparently does not have a problem punching a girl in the face because he turns and tries to swing for Rebekah, even without the gun (13 vs. 12), and Rebekah tries to stumble back but still takes some of it on the chin.]
no subject
( Keeping the thin ruse up, Doc's quip almost causes that punch to connect (7), but not quite. The time for quipping is not now.
Neal scoops up the hunter's gun, raising it, but holds back for now. )
