[Alice's connections pay off, and they manage to get roof access to one of the buildings with the best view of the third quarter moon. Danny and Lizzie are handling the witch stuff, setting up the space for the ritual while Alice is watching the door, waiting for the rest of their guests to arrive. She won't lie and say that she's feeling a little out of her depth, but this is what Earps do so she's going to do her best.
There's a knock at the door, and she slides it open an inch, glancing through to see who's on the other side.]

[Lizzie's given her a list of people who are showing up but Alice knows what none of them look like, so this is her getting names first.]
Hope Mikaelson and Josie Saltzman. ( Puzzled, she looks at Josie. ) I'd ask if Lizzie hired a bouncer for her boyfriend's big Celtic ritual, but ( Sorry, Alice, you're not bouncer material. ) So, that means she chose to have a guest list which is very Lizzie. Look under VIP.
[He's still adjusting to a lot of this, including the power Sierra gave him. He shifts in his seat in the middle of the ritual space before looking up at her with a nod.]
Thanks for coming. I know you've got school and stuff.
We all do. All you can do is use the time you have, or make up for any time lost. And the circumstances, well, they're almost always out of our control when it's about our families.

I don't know. My parents are both alive and I still had my dad's ex-girlfriend out to kill me.

( Not at twenty-one. A decision like this never should have been his. He was the younger brother. His sister inherited the staff. But, his sister became collateral damage. )
[In fact, Isaac knows Bonnie is one of the few adults he does trust. But given what he remembers about some supernatural parental figures he's met, he gives her hand a soft tug to pull her back before they get off.]
The fact that you want to find a different way for him? Sometimes that's enough. It's more than some of the people we expect to protect us do for us.
( That nothing will be enough. But, she lets that thought fly away as she pulls Isaac close. She thanks him with a kiss before stopping the elevator door from closing. )
[And caring isn't bad, even if that's a lesson Isaac's had to learn the hard way. But with that they will make their way up the rest of the way and knock on the door where they will also be greeted by Alice.

I think that's probably true of a lot of vampires. There's probably a good number of the older set that could benefit greatly from therapy.
[Most people could. Even him, but especially older vampires with too much life to process.]
