[Audrey is spending a quiet Christmas at home in DC, watching holiday movies on TV and trying not to think about the time she got stuck in a Christmas snow globe. Because that way lies madness and loneliness. Still, the thoughts slip to mind, Duke in a Santa suit, Nathan being Nathan.
She misses them. Far more than she cares to admit. It’s been decades for her now, but she still feels the ache of waiting for people who know her. Is it pathetic that her heart may still belong to Nathan, even after all this time?
Maybe Sweets is right, and she really should engage a little more in therapy.
The eleven o’clock news comes on and she’s about to turn off the TV and head to bed, when a news story catches her eye.
“—A Christmas surprise at the Boston Aquarium today as two intruders seem to have broken in and gone for a swim with the dolphins—”
Two faces flash across the screen. Two faces she hasn’t seen in a very long time. The cops are dragging them off, dripping wet and Duke says her name, right into the camera, asking for Audrey Parker.
”Crap,” she murmurs, before grabbing her stuff and trying to figure out how fast she can get to Boston.
Meanwhile, in Baltimore, curled up in bed with her wife, Jaqueline shoots forward as she stares at the news.]
( The Colony Christmas is understated, as they did just have a blood bath only days prior, but the circle gathers anew. Some of the loyalists attend, including their favorite chef, so it isn't a bust of a holiday, but it isn't something special, either. It won't be until every t is crossed and i dotted. With his husband in the wind but not far and a rejection in his recent past, he mopes on his end of the table.
Sierra notices, but doesn't mention it, as that isn't her brother. And he knows the task at hand.
After dinner, she takes her wife into the sitting room and plays her something.
After that, they've both had entirely too much to eat, so they retire to fall asleep in each other's arms. It's A Wonderful Life finishes and Sierra dozes, half-lidded as the news starts. She hears snippets of intruders and an aquarium and a very familiar name.
Her eyes shoot open.
A man, soaking wet, and disheveled is screaming her name at the camera. "Just find Audrey Parker!" The other man, more clean cut, is trying to calm him down and both are in a custody of sorts. )
[Jaqueline is of the opinion that a little rejection is good for Max. He'll mope for a while but he'll be better for it. In the meantime, she's going to enjoy the food, enjoy time with her wife, and worry about the status of their coven tomorrow.
And if Santa decides to throw in a boon on one of the larger annoyances she's dealt with this year, well ...

[A smile widens across her face, before glancing over to Sierra.]
Want to go check it out? Last we knew, she's in DC, so if we get David involved, we could beat her there.
Technically, it falls under Colony jurisdiction. We both know two men didn't suddenly decide to swim in the dolphin tank. We're obligated to investigate. And if that puts us up against the nation's FBI cockblock - well, then that just makes it worthwhile, doesn't it?
( She doesn't hide the grin. She did turn over a new leaf with her coven, but that doesn't mean she doesn't get to be petty with people who interfere in her business. )
[Jaqueline's smile widens even further, and she gets to her feet and gets dressed in her best fake FBI agent, before making her way over to David and Ezra's rooms and banging on the door.

[David groans, burying his face in his pillow. "If we ignore her, do you think she'll go away?"]
( Sierra does the same, a woman of many outfits and personas, one used to doing this since leaving home. She ties her hair into a bun, inspects herself in the mirror, and then follows her wife. )
What time is it?
( He lifts his head up, half-asleep, then down groaning into the pillow. Against the pillow,he continues. )
[David doesn't want to, that's the problem. But Jaqueline isn't going away, and she bangs on the door again, and he groans before forcing himself out of bed. He yanks open the door with a frown.
"Where could you possibly want to go at this time of night?"]
Boston Aquarium.
[David blinks at her, before stammering out a: "What?"]
( Ezra lifts the pillow he put over his head, turns to face the offending light of the hallway and just gives the most incredulous look. )
Do you want to stand here questioning us, or do you want to go back to sleep. The faster we get a door, the faster you get snuggle back up to your husband, and we're a good dream away.
["I want to know why before I unleash the two of you like chaos demons upon the world."

That's the one. Two strange men suddenly appeared swimming with the dolphins in the Boston Aquarium and called her out, directly to the camera. I want to go find out why.
[David huffs before holding up a finger. "Don't kill anyone, don't make any bigger problems than we already have and don't piss off this Audrey Parker woman. If what you said is true, she's immune to magic and she is an actual FBI agent so she can and probably will arrest you. And I'm not opening you a door out of jail."]
[David looks pointedly at Jaqueline and she nods.]

["Okay." He steps out of the bedroom, gesturing for them to stand back as he moves through the list of doors in his head until he remembers the doors of the Aquarium, and opens his bedroom to reveal the aquarium parking lot instead. "Have fun."
Jaqueline takes Sierra's hand gently before immediately slipping through, making sure they stay together and don't disrupt the delicate binding spell.]
Well, it's a good thing Agent Parker's liasons have arrived in time.
( She flips her sunglasses down, keeping her cool, giving her best FBI agent as she follows her wife to the front doors after hours. (nat 20) for the FBI disguise )
[With her own matching romantic (nat 20), Jaqueline follows her lead, making her way into the room where the security guards are lounging around, waiting for the FBI. Jaqueline flashes them a smile.]
Hi there. FBI. Here for your unexpected swimmers?
[The security guards don't even blink. "Good luck. Hope one of you is Audrey Parker."]
She's still on her way, but we'll get started.
[Jaqueline wanders over to the doors nearby, peering in the windows. They separated them, so they don't have time to get their stories straight.]
Which one do you want to try first? Blue eyes or off-brand pirate?
[Jaqueline opens the door, stepping into the space where Duke is pacing. She flashes him a smile, before stepping to the side to let Sierra in behind her.]
( When two agents let themselves in, Duke ends his pacing back at the table, leaning against it from the back. )

( He weighs giving them his real name or an alias. He knows Nathan isn't far, if he can get past them and to Nathan, then they can make their way back to Haven.
"She's asking your name," Sierra says. )

( The security here aren't tapped in, but, they got in touch with people who are. He was led to believe - no, he believes someone did get in touch with her. He was told to stay put.
