I love New Orleans. Living there certainly wouldn't be a hardship.

[But she will see them out of this conversation as the song changes and she smiles.]

( Doc sets his whiskey aside.

"A husband's job," he jokes, sliding his chair out, before helping his wife up.

Once they're out and dancing, Neal turns to Sara. )

Did I slip up?

[Sara shakes her head as she watches them go, sliding one hand against Neal's shoulder.]

Not at all. I just think it's a little more complicated for them than it is for us.

[Doc and Rebekah's life has a lot of moving pieces.]

We're doing this. However this shakes out. Here, New Orleans. It's time I prop you up.

( She's given up enough for him. )

I appreciate that. Though I would argue that you've always been supportive ... when you hadn't stolen something I was trying to recover.

[But that was prior to their relationship, so it doesn't count.]

If we go to New Orleans, is Mozzie going to follow us?

Mozzie doesn't follow me everywhere, Sara.

( But, he does kind of. )

I could negotiate one weekend a month.

( One in New York, one in New Orleans. )

If he does, it's fine. I accepted that you two were a package deal a long time ago.

[She also thinks Mozzie's warmed up to her a lot.

She hopes.

He's really hard to read that way.]

We should just probably warn him what he's getting into.

( She'll never be Mrs. Suit, but he wants Neal happy. And she came back for him. That won her points. )

Mozzie always has his own thing going, anyway. ( But, if he does accompany - or even drop in. ) Do you want to read him in on all things unexplainable?

When we were with all of Rebekah's family, I talked with her about New Orleans. It seems to lean more into the supernatural than New York does. I don't know if it's common knowledge, but I think we would at least want him to be safe.

[She doesn't want her people to wander into town and get themselves eaten by a vampire because they're in the wrong part of town.]

I don't want Mozzie stuck in between the New Orleans factions, either, but he tends to get himself mixed up in things. ( Which, shit. ) I'll handle this part. I think it'll be the one conspiracy I'll let him lord over me.

[Sara nods.]

Who knows? Maybe he's already aware. It wouldn't surprise me, given some of the things he gets into.

He'd never let me hear the end of it.

( He's always suspicious about how classic Rebekah is. Plus that spelling. But, that's just Mozzie being Mozzie, right? )

Eventually he would get distracted by something else.

[As much as Mozzie remembers slights against him, he tends to be far more forgiving of his friends.]

Or find a way to make it all about him.

( Knowing Mozzie, he'd fall for a vampire hacker or witch thief. )

I am. Good with this. Following you wherever you go. It's your time. Peter might even loan me out.

We'll worry about that when we get there.

[Nothing is set in stone, though she is glad that they're on the same page.]

But for now, I think we should take page out of Doc and Rebekah's book. Dance, Mr. Caffrey?

( "I'd like that, Ms. Ellis."

Taking her hand, he leads her to the dance floor and settles into a nice, slow sway.

A few couples away, Doc spins his wife and then twirls her back in. )

Alice stayed tight-lipped about her roommate's plans after Christmas. I suspect she may be losing her soon, to the United Kingdom.

Mmmm, I got that sense as well. What do you think she'll do?

[She tips her head to the side.]

Because while I certainly don't have any problems with moving back to New Orleans - I think it'll be good for Henry to be around family more now that he's old enough to really remember them - Alice picked NYU because it would be close to you.

You really think she chose her schooling for me?

( Oh, Doc. )

Alice did say at Thanksgiving that Hope and her friends were "a trip." I think they are real friends now. I haven't asked, but I also haven't heard about any other NYU friends besides Lizzie and at the time, Hope and her sister. It is possible, if broached correctly, a transfer option to Tulane could go over well.

Of course she did.

[She seems like the kind of girl who probably would have picked something much closer to home if she didn't have a reason to be in a city so far from Purgatory.]

We can discuss it with her at Christmas. Give her some time to think about her options.

I would not want to leave her alone in the city.

( Even if it were Wynonna and Waverly staying back. )

[She nods.]

Then perhaps that will be the decision then. If I Alice wishes to stay, then so will we. If not, then we go to New Orleans.

[It can be that simple, if both people are willing.]

That is a compromise we can all live with.

( And in either case, he ends up in a different tax bracket. )

Good.

[She sighs dramatically.]

Though if we're going to be moving, that's going to put my other thoughts for the new year on hold.
