( Everyone back in the same place again, Bonnie approaches Lindsey, closing her eyes. Her (18) has her indeed sensing her presence completely. There is something with it, love, loss, and the stench of death that follows every slayer. And a nice coating of ash on the end. )
[Liv's hands shake slightly as she takes a breath, but the nerves hit her more than she'd expect. They're going to try and kill the Devil, after all. So even as the spell that she's been working on for weeks starts to gather in her fingers, she feels it start to slip and it falls apart before she can even get it started (6).]
Shit.
[The word hisses out of her and she takes a breath before shaking out her hands and stepping away to gather herself.]
[Liv takes another deep breath, steadying herself and lifting her hands around Lindsay's head again. This time the spell comes easier (19), and she's able to seal off Lindsay's thoughts, hopefully from Bonnie and double hopefully from Cade.
( Damon visibly remembers the cloaking Gemini spell and he's still not ready for her to disappear from the backseat. But, he can drive.
Alaric picks up the phone, hits the speaker button and is clearly heard maneuvering atop the bell tower. Probably finishing bell installation. "Bell Atlantic.")
[She hangs up, before sliding into the backseat next to the invisible Lindsay and off they go to the Falls. After they park, she opens the door of the car for Lindsay to slip out, before looking over at Bonnie and Damon.]
Stay by the cave entrance. You're our hail mary. If we need one.
( Does that work for her?
"If what I do doesn't work or Cade catches on, your our second line of defense to get everyone out alive. But you need to stay to the shadows to maintain the cloaking spell," Bonnie explains. )
( Damon and Bonnie make their way inside until Bonnie gets a good sense of where they should be reaching out from. He calls out loud first to him, to try him get him there the easy way. Turning to Bonnie, he hopes out loud she doesn't have to kill him, but if she does, just close her eyes and think of Stefan. She tells him she's not killing him today. Jury's out on his brother.
She closes her eyes and reaches out, trying to get to Cade, who first brings her to a different destination in her mind.
Inside a coffee shop.
She frowns, looking around, before she realizes Cade is sitting across from her.
They banter about what she's doing and what she thinks she's going to get out of this. She explains that she's the negotiator. He can have Stefan, but Damon has terms. Cade makes it clear Stefan has nothing he wants, but Damon's contract isn't done. He does miss the brother-factor. He loves the poetry of siblings.
She says come back with her. He knows where she is.
Damon, in the cave, snaps a few times in front of her face before Cade's voice speaks from behind him. Is she okay?
She is. He wanted to speak alone. He doesn't negotiate with terrorists. Which, he laughs, thinking it's a wonderful line. Terrorism is everywhere and he waxes on about the broad definition.
But he is there in person when Liv wants to signal. )
Lindsay shifts into place as well, leaning against the wall and waiting for her moment to strike. She can't see most of these things playing out, beyond Cade's appearance. It's almost as though he isn't entirely there.
But when the bells begin to ring, that begins to change. He begins to solidify, the lines becoming solid.
[It's quick and clean, the fluid motion of someone who is designed, trained to be a weapon. It's really just a shame that no one can see it. What they can see, is the moment where blade meets flesh and slides through to the other side.
Red spills down the front of his shirt, knife protruding, before Cade finally collapses to the ground. Lindsay lets him go, and Liv lifts the spell so that they can see the Slayer again, now with blood on her hands. She moves closer to examine the body, making sure he's dead, but before she can get too close, the body explodes and she finds herself stumbling back from the flames as Cade turns to ash.]
( Damon eyes Bonnie who steels herself, taking a breath. There is nowhere else to go. She's avoided enough. Damon does end up dropping her off back at home on the way. He can confirm Stefan has his humanity, but that's the extent of what she can handle. He's alive. And himself.
And Enzo is dead.
Damon takes everyone else back to the station. It's over.
(Not.)
The other shoe drops a few days later, when Kelly Donovan shows back up. But, that's a story for another time. For now, the devil is dead. )

I can.
no subject
Shit.
[The word hisses out of her and she takes a breath before shaking out her hands and stepping away to gather herself.]
I'll try again. Give me a sec.
no subject
( She tries not to think of Stefan down the hall or downstairs in a cell. She focuses on the problem in front of her. This spell. This devil.
Damon handles the knife hand-off to Alaric who managed to wrangle Peter Maxwell, his truck, and the bell. )

She glances up at Bonnie raising an eyebrow.]
Good?
no subject
Good. I get nothing. Which probably means you're off Cade's radio frequency. What's next?
( "Next," Damon says, rejoining the group. "you, me, and the slayiff take a hike up the Falls. See if we can't tune into his frequency."
no subject
Lindsay tips her head to the side.]
Do it now. In the car. That way they don't accidentally leave me behind but Cade doesn't see me more than he has to.
no subject
( Damon hands her the wrapped dagger, holding it out.
"I agree. Car," Bonnie says. "Liv, check in with Alaric, make sure the bell is up before we go. We get one shot at this." )
no subject
Lindsay takes the dagger from him, unwrapping it as they walk to get a better look.]
Nasty.
[She smirks.]
I kinda like it.
[Once she settles in the back seat, Liv quickly casts the cloaking spell on her, before pulling back to call Ric.]

[Because that the important thing. How much longer until they can move from waiting into action.]
no subject
( He nods to Peter Maxwell, wiping sweat from his brow.
"Right on, Ric," Damon says.
"Let's go," Bonnie says next, Damon turning on the ignition. )
Go kill the Devil.

Where do you want me?

Stay safe. All of you.
[And she'll slip off to her hiding place, leaving the two of them to make their approach.]

I guess that answers if I got him.
no subject
A little anticlimactic, but I'm not going to complain. You okay?
no subject
[Were they expecting some kind of weird backlash for murder.]
You? You were psychically connected to the guy.
no subject
( Maybe? He doesn't know. )
I feel great. Liv? ( currently in his arms. )
no subject
Good job, team.
[Lindsay glances over to Damon.]
Want to head back and check on your brother?
