I have been thinking, though. With Jack going off being Mr. Bean - Monroe's hunters still out there, what do you think about me staying.

[She certainly doesn't seem opposed to the idea. But she knows what she and Jo are planning, and she has a history of the men in her life trying to make choices for her.]

I'm not opposed. But Jo and I need something from the witches. If you're going to stay, I need you to trust me enough to let me lead.

It wouldn't be my first witch rodeo if you want input, but I'm not going to takeover. Sammy and I have taken a backseat plenty of times. You want to let me in on your needs? ( ... ) Your plan?

[She glances around the apartment for a moment, before taking his hand and pulling him out of the kitchen. Jo mentioned that there might be magical bugs in the apartment, so just in case, she goes into the bathroom, turns on the faucet and the shower.]

( Oh kay -- Sam told him that some people do this to hide from vampire ears, but maybe it's -- witch ears, too. Also, didn't Sydney Bristow do this once? Not to mention the confined ... space. Keeping thoughts squarely on the -- )

Sam's more of the nerd. Big time witches?

They're known for their lines of magical twins. A long time ago, someone placed a curse on the twin leaders. On their twenty-second birthday, they have to merge and one twin absorbs the other. We've been trying to find a way out of it ever since the twins were born.

[Aka Josie and Lizzie.]

Jo thinks the coven of witches that are watching me are the ones that cast the curse.

And Jo is Gemini. Lizzie and uh, Josie.

( Well. He rubs his chin, attempting to - yeah, there's enough room to lean while he takes this in. )

How sure are you they're from the same coven? You sure he's still in town?

Pretty sure? And we don't. We're going to wait it out a week and make sure he isn't replaced, but if he isn't, I'm willing to bet that he's not going to want to admit that he screwed up and got himself made. Especially since the doppelganger getting hurt likely has him on thin ice to begin with.

[She makes a face.]

Plus, I don't want him getting replaced. I'd rather have a known element than an unknown one.

Him. Harvey?

( Replaced? He thought Harvey was new on the scene. He's behind, now. )

You mean the plant. You know who he is.

[She nods.]

I do. And I hope he'll be the type that'll opt to take a deal. I make his job a lot easier, and he gives me information on how to break the curse. Win-win.

His job being ... stalking the doppelganger.

[She shrugs.]

He's already been playing at being my friend. Might as well give him the chance to do it for real. And if I kick him out of my life, I run the risk of someone else I don't know getting planted in my life again. I'd rather know what I'm dealing with.

So, you're re-upping, in hopes that if not his coven, he'll help you and Jo out of an impossible situation.

( He can't judge it. )

And you're going to -- give him a second chance at friendship. If I promise not to go after the guy, do I know him?

Not yet. I might be wrong, but there have been too many coincidences lately.

[She takes a breath.]

But if I'm right, then yeah. I'll let you know. And it's not just not going after the guy. I need you to trust me that I know what I'm doing. Because ... I've had problems with that in the past. They had good intentions in trying to protect me but they ran over all of my choices and I can't do that anymore.

Look, I can't say I won't disagree or call you out on it, but, ask Sam. Ask Cas. We disagree. We go in half-cocked.

( He brings a hand up, finger wagging. )

I'm not calling you half cocked. I'm in your hood. I'll take your lead. I don't go into your OR and tell you how to - do you cut?

( Is she a surgeon? )

[She laughs, before shaking her head.]

No. I'm a pediatrician.

[Which is probably less sexy than a surgeon, but it's out there. She also notices him taking a step closer, so she takes one in in return.]

So you're fully comfortable with me calling the shots?

As long as you accept input. We're a village. Even when we're in yours. I can stand down. Work on my car.

( Her step meets his next. )

What else do people do in this town?

I can take input.

[When it's offered in good faith, at any rate. Then she shrugs.]

Drink. Play pool. Make drunk choices that they may or may not regret later in the name of seizing the moment.

That a warning or a dare?

( He doesn't wait for the answer before making a signature Dean move and crashing his lips into Elena's. He had a nice buzz going from graduation that the glass of wine kept him warm enough to do it. Especially since he's been called out. )

[For some reason, she didn't anticipate it. She expected the banter to draw out a bit more. Then again, she's not exactly surprised either. It is a very Dean move.

And it has been ... a while, since she's been kissed, especially like this. She starts at first, but a second later she's kissing him back, her hand coming up to rest against his shoulders.]

( His arms come to her waist, living in this seized moment. He was going to ask before if she wanted to clean up before eating. Now the shower is going and they both had a day's worth of different events. They're also both adults. So, he lets his hands and fingers (and mouth) do the talking, as he goes for her shirt, belt, his shirt. He is all for her calling the witch shots, but stopping and asking if he should call this one, not sexy.

It really would be a waste of water if they didn't do something about that.

As his hands start tugging her clothing she does the same, and if he really wants to stop and check he can - it's sexier than he thinks - but she's also willing to go with the flow, kicking off the last of her clothing before stumbling back towards the shower, pushing back the curtain and stepping inside.]
