[Cas currently finds himself paging through the internet. With Jack heading off to Europe, he wants to make sure he has everything he needs, and most of the blogs are being unhelpful.

Likely because Cas's internet search skills are not the greatest.

( Dean brought his bag over, and the car. Dean basically brought everything over to Cas'. When he comes back here for the night, maybe don't be surprised. )

( But, uh -- if that's the issue, he looks up from his bag as he unpacks some books, his computer. )

[Castiel nods, because this sounds like a solid plan. He trusts Dean's travel experience. Probably more than he trusts the internet.]

Are you and Sam going to stay until he leaves?

Yeah, about that.

( He pulls another chair over it, straddling it from the front. )

I'm staying. For awhile. Don't know what Sam's doing. He's taking Allison Argent's lead. You... good with that?

Do you think there's a chance the hunters may come back?

( He'd say the same to Cas. He'd mean it, too. )

Don't know. It's not normally their style, but, it's only a matter of time before they switch playbooks. For now, it could be good for us to put down some roots. Let Bobby handle the bunker. We're of better use here. For Allison.

You mean because of Damon quick on the trigger Salvatore. There is one hunter left. But, he's been turned.

[Castiel doesn't know how he feels about this, but he'll defer to Dean.]

Do you think the mole will work?

They seem to think that compulsion is going to keep him in line. Make him a real threat.

( A threatening asset. )

Unless they want my help, I'm keeping out of it. Damon did it.

I think staying out of it is wise. There will likely be other ways to contribute. Mystic Falls has a severe monster problem.

I'm talking about the Malivore monsters.

You mean the mud people?

( He's heard some? But, for the most part, this stays between Jack and Cas. )

Malivore was a construct created by a witch, a werewolf and a vampire to consume monsters in order to preserve humanity. A few years ago he started releasing them to release himself.

[Castiel makes a face.]

It can get quite messy.

Yes. But most of the time, the school had it well in hand. And he liked helping with the monsters. It inspired a sense of camaraderie.

[cholesterol]

So. You're telling me. We send him to school. And he hunts. Anyway. Great parenting we did.

( Now he feels guilty. )

[Cas huffs a little.]

The monsters came to him, Dean. It's not like he went looking for them. He was defending his friends.

I know. He's good. He cares. I don't want anything to happen to him, Cas.

( Not when he can't be there. )

But he needs to be given a chance to handle things on his own.
