[From Sam: She's a Bennett witch, Dean. I'm pretty sure she could make set Bela on fire with her mind if she wanted to.]

( from Dean to Sam: So, we're just supposed to believe Bela got BETTER as a vampire. that ruthlessness wasn't her main freakin trait )

[And with that, she'll take a deep breath and look over at Dean.]
Bonnie's on it. I'm sure she can handle it. And I know Elijah - we don't want to pick a fight with him, and he'll look out for Bonnie.
[Does she know that for sure? Maybe, maybe not. But if necessary, she will reach out and make that connection. It's been years since she's made a deal with Elijah Mikaelson but she hopes that he's still a man of his word.]
[From Sam: I don't know man. It's been twelve years. Maybe without her deal hanging over her head, she did get better.]

Wait, how did everything go with David and Ezra after? How do you feel?
He knows that tone, the, Dean is about to fly off the handle but everyone in the room knows it's not worth it tone. )
WHAT ARE THE ODDS. I'm gonna defreak Elena. Call later.
( The joke of course being, Elena is talking him down, but no reason to alert his brother to that. He sets his phone down and stands up from the couch, he's out of beer, anyway. )
I'm not looking to piss off a vampire whose old enough to be named Elijah.

[Then she puts her phone aside and turns to face Dean more.]
Good, because he's an Original and extremely protective of those that are important to him. He will take your head off, and I happen to like your head where it is.

( That is all she did. )
She was desperate once. Struck the same deal I did, 'cept I didn't beat it.
no subject
And all this time, you thought she at least paid the same price you did. That made things even. At least she was paying for her crimes.
[She gets it.]
no subject
( They were never bidders. )
She was bad news.
no subject
[So yes, Elena Gilbert gets it.]
But, I could also recognize when Katherine was useful, and while I didn't trust her as far as I could throw her, I made it work. This might be one of those times you have to make it work.

( Shut up. Project Runway is fucking hilarious. )
no subject
Maybe? Just ... if she's the link we have to the Colony right now, maybe it might be worth calling a temporary truce.
no subject
( WHY do they have to use Bela? )
no subject
[Because going directly to the source kind of defeats the purpose.]
no subject
I don't like it. I don't like any of it. You negotiating with witches, fine, but Bonnie negotiating with Satan herself.
( Satan lite. )
no subject
Do you trust me?
no subject
I trust you.
no subject
[And she hopes that's enough for now.]
no subject
( He'd feel best if it was him. He thinks about it, letting it turn over in his mind. )
I want to talk to her.
no subject
[Which her are they referring to here?]
no subject
( He almost barks it out but he holds back, he's not frustrated with Elena, just the situation. )
no subject
no subject
Okay.
no subject
[She pauses to lean in to kiss him, and pulls back, brushing her thumb against his cheek.]
And I'm not trying to disregard your anger here. You know that, right? You have every right to be pissed about this.
[She just doesn't want you to do something stupid.]
no subject
( You're his most mature (beginning of a) relationship. Forgive his thickheadedness. )
no subject
No, not exactly. It's just ... I know how it feels to be told that your feelings are inconvenient. It really sucks.
