I was thinking something a little more dramatic.

Monroe seems to be going for heads on pikes. It might be helpful for her to see that her opposition believes he's dead too.

[To Mickey:]

( "And then some. Boys have disappeared over less, but we just thought they were relocated." He's now realizing they were probably retired. "I don't know how, but she has eyes everywhere. What... what are you thinking?"

Klaus smirks, continuing to be the worst. )

It's not removing his head, though don't think that didn't cross my mind.

I have a dark object that could do the trick. And from what I'm understanding, someone who would provide the reaction she's looking for is on his way here now.

[This is mostly directed at Klaus, not being too specific given that Cooper isn't that far away and might try to protest.]

If we can arrange that his father also be present, that would tie things up quite nicely.

What does the dark object do?

( He doesn't like where this is going. (11) Also, he's been separated from Cooper for awhile and this entire situation is tense so he completely misses her meaning. )

It creates a death-like corpse, but it's temporary. He'll remain dead long enough for us to stage the scene to Monroe's liking and add the necessary fuel to the fire, but it won't be permanent. And, since we know what we're doing, we won't make the mistake of burying him and causing accidental brain damage.

[Voodoo zombies are a fate not fit for anyone, you might as well outright kill them.]

"That does sound like it will do the trick. Won't you join us up here, then, Bob?" Get it? Cause you're bobbing up and down in the water. )

[Cooper rolls his eyes but does as he's told, kicking his way over to the shore and moving to stand next to them as he starts to wring out his clothes.

"I take it this means you have a plan?"]

We do. But it's going to rely a bit on forgiveness, rather than permission, yeah?

[Cooper does not like the sound of that. His face tightens in distaste, but he can make sacrifices for the mission. "And that plan doesn't involve turning me, right? You would think I wouldn't have to make that clarification, but ..."

He gestures to Mickey and his whole situation.]

I happen to think you'd make an abysmal vampire, what with your dishonor and your tendency to jump fences. And, if it's like the dark objects I'm used to dealing with, the dark object's power would negate any vampirism. Likely, if something went wrong you would be akin to a zombie.

( "Exactly, what do we mean. How does it work? Is he on time table before he can't be revived again?" If he sounds like he's worried as fuck, Mickey is, he confessed his love (that wasn't reciprocated) but it hasn't gone away. "And what about my compulsion." )

One thing at a time. If this excuse for a double agent is dead, then so is your compulsive need to do the right thing and kill him yourself.

We would trigger the on and off switch. Once he's been safely recovered, we flip the switch and he'll be right as rain. All it needs is a little blood.

[Cooper doesn't care about whether or not Klaus thinks he's honorable. He does care about one thing though: "Does William know about this?"

Bela looks back at him with a shrug.]

That wouldn't make a very good show, would it?

( "Who's William?" Mickey asks. )

Someone Bela has correctly surmised that means something to -- what is your name again?

[Cooper just flips him the bird. Because fuck you, Klaus. But then he turns back to Bela and shakes his head because he knows that this is the only way out that keeps Mickey in.

And they need to keep Mickey in.

"Just make sure I wake up."]

Don't worry. I said I would do my best to help you make it out of this alive, and I am a woman of my word.

[She just takes a few creative liberties with it, on occasion.]

Then we've come to an agreement. And, depending on the outcome, perhaps I will loosen my hold on you, Mouse. We are at the, what do they call it? The home stretch?

( He smirks. )

[He shakes his head, because so long as the plan works, he'll be able to tell him soon enough. And honestly, he doesn't want Klaus anywhere near William if he can help it.

"Let's just get this over with."]
