There are higher chances his records are kept digitally. ( Pulling out the number Allison scrawled, he pulls out his phone, dials, and taps the speaker symbol as he sets the phone on the desk.
("Sorry," William says, looking to his sister. But, without being asked, he pulls his laptop out, bringing it out of sleep mode.
"What do you need from me?")
Terry Hawthorne's password. He works for the city, we're in his office in Town Hall. We think that he may have access to records of where Tamara Monroe might have established herself. It's been weeks since she was spotted, but there are no records of her being anywhere else. And -- the New Orleans supernatural elite were taken.
( Well, that he didn't know.
"I can't do much remotely, unless you can give me admin access. And without the password to do that, no. Wait. I need you to do exactly what I say, okay?"
What he wants to do is open the source code and patch himself into the system, but he's also asking someone else to do that. With his (12) to talk Cami through what he needs and Cami's (9) ... this route is not going to work for them.
"I can't do much if I'm not physically there. Let me see what I can find out from his personal life," he says, doing an (18) deep dive into a search on anything personal enough and close to Hawthorne's heart -- that's worthy of being a password. )
[Terry doesn't have much beyond his job, though it's clear he loves it, having done a number of philanthropic events in his role on the city council. A few pictures with prominent supernatural members of the city at various festivals and what not. But while he's digging, an idea comes to Cami.]
If all the computers are on the same network, does it need to be this terminal specifically that you have to get into?
( He's stressing, and waiting, and he grabs a hold of the passenger side door because this is not a speed meant for this highway, but, he is waiting.
While Harvey is also waiting, he pulls out his phone and tries Google. (19) to try and find anything out about Hawthorne, like a main charity he was involved with, a family member estranged or otherwise, Hell, a Spotify playlist. )
[His main charity was the local children's hospital, where there happens to be a wing named after his family. He does have some family, most prominently mentioned is a brother, who has opted for a quieter life with a family out in Baton Rouge. New Orleans was a little much for them.
There is a Spotify playlist! Linked to one of his charity websites as a remembrance post for one of the events he threw. But nothing super personal.
Cami makes it down to Deb, and she leans over the desk as she begins to compel her.]
I'm sorry, Deb, I really hate to do this but I need to use your computer.
[Deb's voice goes a bit distant and dreamy as she responds. "Of course, darlin. Take whatever you need."
Cami nods as she slides into the seat, before turning back to William.]
( Depending on the computer, how many tries does he need before he's locked out?
What's his brother's name? )
What do you -- I'm not going to ask. But, ( He proceeds to talk her through opening the source code (11) through the phone in order for him to gain access to Deb's computer. He's rushed, and stressed by the sudden traffic Mia speed slows behind. )
( What about Roger? He tries ROGER and roger. Roger?
He is. )
I am.
( Cami should see the mouse moving on it's own. He gets a (14) to search for what he needs, quickly perusing files/code/anything relevant. Are the files themselves password protected? )
[Nope, once he's on one of the computers, he has free access to whatever he needs. He wanders his way into the local files and starts pulling up blueprints and deeds, all kinds of paperwork.
Cami watches as William goes to work.]
It's probably not under her name. Maybe an corporation or an LLC?
[Both ROGER and roger ... do not work. That is very poor password security, if it did.]
[He doesn't have to be wholly ineffective. They do need his legal expertise. When William turns up a fair number of option with no way to narrow it down, Cami frowns.]
Hold on.
[And she goes to add Harvey into the call.]
Hey, Harvey. We've got a lot of options here and we need to make our haystack a little smaller. We figured they would probably incorporate in order to not be too obvious, but turns out there are lot of corporations picking up land in New Orleans.
Look for any last minute acquisitions. Foreclosures, or lots for cheap. Dead owners, anything bought at auction. Something the bank may have given a deal on. They say they'll do their background check, but most of the time the bank or whatever is selling the property is just happy to get rid of it. And the state rarely wants it.
( Instead of looking at incorporations through company, William chooses to search property: (18) )
[William starts scrolling through the properties and Cami scans with him, before she taps her finger against the screen.]
Stop, stop, stop wait. Go back!
[When he does, Cami leans closer. Scanning the property in question, she nods.]
I know where this is. There was a big story about this in the paper - a whole factory that was posed for demolition got snatched up by some mysterious benefactor.
Can you check and see if there are any other properties set up by the same corporation? If Monroe is as smart as we think she is, she wouldn't put all her eggs in one basket.
I think Allison just had a whole group come back from overseas, but there might be people still there.
[But searching that particular company, in New Orleans comes up with three options. The factory mentioned earlier, an old large plantation home and a run down warehouse.]
("We may have hit the trifecta. Not just the factory, but there is a plantation which will probably have a helping of racism - fitting, and a warehouse. What are the chances they're split apart," William asks. )
If they're all being kept in the same place, that doesn't mean there isn't more activity in the two others. We should narrow it down, anyway.

[She turns and looks at him, before raising a curious eyebrow.]
Though it's interesting that you jump to the women in his life as password options.
no subject
( He searches the rest of the office, tries all the filing cabinets as well as the drawers to the desk, ones that are open. (6). )
no subject
I just found it curious, that's all.
[She tips her head to the side.]
Maybe we should try Allison's tech contact?
no subject
( It could prove fruitful. )
There are higher chances his records are kept digitally. ( Pulling out the number Allison scrawled, he pulls out his phone, dials, and taps the speaker symbol as he sets the phone on the desk.
"Cooper?" William asks as he answers the call. )

[She feels bad, as he's clearly expecting a call from someone, but they need his help.]
I'm Cami O'Connell, and I'm with Harvey Specter. Allison Argent gave us your number?

Hi, William, I'm going to try and get you another access point.

As for William.
Looking into something generic, maybe recently incorporated?
( he cross-references any of the corporations and LLC's with the corporations and LLC's recently established in the last year.<
And those corporations not started in Lousiana. (9) )

Hold on.

"Company that snatched it up is a shell company only recently formed. Like, months ago recently formed." )
We've found it.

[Better to hit all targets at once.]

It's likely she has property in other countries. How are your international resources?

No, we'll have to hit all of them.
[She doesn't always lend herself to being calculating, but she hasn't been Klaus' partner for this long without some of it rubbing off.]
We don't want to give any of them the chance to start over. We'll just have to call in reinforcements.
[And with that, she places two texts, one to Kol and one to Marcel:]
How soon can you be in New Orleans?
