[Slowly, as time ticks by, more and more of their allies gather in the cemetery. News of Hawthorne's death and the attack on the bayou are drawing more and more angry locals to the group, ready to contend with whatever threat has descended on New Orleans this time.

She checks her phone, still waiting on news from Klaus, or if Cami had any updates on her end, but looks up when the crowd silences and parts. Her eyes scan towards the surprise visitor and can't help the small smile that crosses her face in response.]

The prodigal brother returns.

( Kol has been in New Orleans longer than he'd care to admit, but he hasn't been a presence here. He'd preferred to live out his own life. He was brought in when he was needed, when the next big threat to the family arose, but not for the every day pitfalls or milestones. Still, there is nothing like seeing family after a long absence. The annoyance he feels with Rebekah's meddling or the overbearing attitude Klaus brings is not the warmth Freya exudes when he gives her the time of day.

He has been infamous, as has his family, so when he arrives at the graveyard with only himself to speak of, there are whispers. Recognition in some, fear in others.

And then he finds his sister. And for just a split second all is right with the world.

He leaves the gawking behind. )

Sister. Our brother's little bird said you may need an extra set of hands.

[deathlessness]

Well, I certainly won't say no.

[She make her way around the table she's working on, before pushing up to pull him in for a hug. Battle plans can come later. She'll greet him as he is now.]

Either way, it's good to see you.

[witchaffinity]

( But, battle plans will come. )

And you. ( He glances past, down at the plans, the maps and the layout. ) You would make St. Anne's your personal war room.

[She smirks.]

The witches volunteered it. And we were actually doing spells, so it helped to have everyone close.

[witchaffinity]

And what spells are being done? Are we any closer to rescuing Davina and the others?

( He would ask about her, first, but she was his love. It's hard to stop caring about someone in that way. )

We managed to get around the warding they had with a locator spell, so we do know where they are.

[She gestures him over to the map so that he can have a look at the layout.]

But Cami managed to identify two other properties that she might be housing her people at.

And we're going with the three-pronged approach.

( Cut off every head, rather than save one group and leave the rest to scatter. )

No offense, sister, but this summit is lacking in others to summit with.

Klaus is on his way. He's going to bring with him anyone left standing in the bayou. But between the hit at Rousseau's and the bayou, our resources may be limited.

[She turns back to face him.]

But hopefully three Originals will give us something of an advantage.

( He studies what to make of the map of New Orleans, and the spell they've been working on or maintaining. (18) )

One Original for every location, I assume.

[She nods.]

Hopefully with plenty of back up. This one has the hostages.

[She taps the place on the map.]

It was an old factory that was supposed to be renovated for condos, but Monroe bought it up before it could.

[witchaffinity]

Condos, killing grounds. Humanity finds ways to dehumanize each other in some ways. Where else?

Old plantation house just outside of town and another warehouse close to the French Quarter.

[She indicates them on the map accordingly.]

I think the one near the Quarter right have any remnants of their bomb making that they used at Rousseau's.

Well, we'll want to right shut that one down. No need for any more explosions, or our brother will have no city to rule over.

( Not that anyone sees Klaus as the king of New Orleans, anymore. Mostly, it's a dig for his brother who isn't here yet. Freya's been in the middle before. He assumes she'll ignore his childishness.

[He will assume correctly.]

My thoughts exactly. So the hostages and the Quarter are the priorities, and if we have enough to spare, we'll hit the plantation house. Likely all that's there are extra troops.

[witchaffinity]

I still say divide up and conquer the three. But, I'm not the general. Just an out-of-towner lending a hand.

( He belittles the impact his presence gives to the proceedings, but he's never had a problem with his sense of self worth, always believing himself to be the better of his siblings. And the most fun. )

Who all are we waiting for?

Klaus, and a few more vampires from out of town.

[She then glances over, scanning the faces until she finds the werewolf she's looking for:]

Scott, is anyone else coming in from your end?

( Allison hasn't answered any messages the group has sent her, and neither has Malia. He's making small talk with the wolves, with Aiden, when Freya calls him out. )

Allison and Freya were in the Bayou, but I think they went to ground. There's also Harvey and Cami. I don't know anyone else who wasn't taken, or isn't here.

[She nods, before reaching for her phone to check with Cami for her ETA.]

Klaus went out to the bayou to see what happened, so I'm sure when he arrives he'll have news, if not Allison herself.

[But that being said, introductions:]

Kol, Scott McCall. Scott, my brother Kol.

( They explain their pleasantries, Scott worried but friendly and Kol wondering how werewolves get younger and younger. He asks Scott if he was born or bitten and Scott has no problem answering. )

How many Originals are there?

[deathlessness]

Seven of us, originally. Two of them are dead, and Rebekah lives in New York now with her family.

[Essentially, they are legion.]

That's so many. I'm an only child and I -- know mostly only children. Except for Derek and Derek's...

( Also gone. )

[Not all of them! Cora still exists.]

Given what my mother bargained for her gaggle of children, I would hope that she would have taken advantage of it.

[Her. What she bargained was her.]

( Which is why Derek is the exception. )

Your mother traded something to have that many children?

She was struggling to have children, so she went to her sister, a powerful witch, for help. And in exchange, she promised her sister her first born.

[Aka Freya.]

Hence why I'm a witch and not a vampire. I wasn't there to be turned.
