[Sullivan shrugs, not really sure where he lands on any of this, but he's glad that more people won't be dying in the mess that was today.

"I'm sorry about Argent. Never met her, but she seemed to have a good head on her shoulders."]

( Right. Scott doesn't need reminding of his biggest loss to date, but he keeps from falling apart. He feels like things aren't done. And they'll wait here to make sure the hunters do what they say they will.

Down the way, with Kieran, Harvey turns away from the proceedings. )

Not going to lie, I wondered if that would work.

Sometimes people will surprise you. It's rare, but it happens.

[She glances up from the texting she's doing and shrugs in return.]

As harsh as the world can be, sometimes a little sincerity can go a long way.

( Sometimes, it's how he gets his point across, but mostly it's about bending the rules. )

But then again, he has the power to back it up. Witches, as powerful as we are, tend to be low on the supernatural food chain.

( Scott makes sure Sullivan's good with holding the front down because he has an overdue call to make.

He steps away from the group and works through his contacts. He tries Stiles first, but Stiles doesn't answer. So, he tries Lydia, hanging his head as he leans against a dumpster. )

[Earlier today, Lydia had felt a bit ... strange. A sinking feeling in her gut that something was very wrong. But the feeling faded, after a few lingering hour of discomfort, and everything was fine again.

Until Scott's name appears on her caller ID. Then the pit of dread reappears, but she doesn't dismiss the call.]

Scott?

Hey.

( One word trails on, unable to keep speaking. He doesn't know how to do this, to relay this kind of information over the phone. )

[They knew there was going to be a risk here. And she needs Scott to say it, or they're never going to be able to move forward.]

Malia. And Allison. A hunter shot Allison when she tried to reason with them at the bayou. Klaus found them after.

( It's almost impossible to say out loud. If he says it, it's true. They came close before and there were days of recovery after. Allison missed weeks of junior year. )

[Malia and Allison. The blows hit hard, and Lydia takes a deep breath, trying to keep herself calm. She needs to convey this to everyone else before she can officially mourn her best friend.

Scott's question about Cora snaps her attention back.]

None, nor on the other hostages except for the leader of the human faction. But, no news has to be good news.

( He'll fall apart if he lets himself worry about everyone else. They almost lost Derek once after he disappeared in a fight with Ennis. )

Harvey, this lawyer, and a witch and one of the vampires and me, we got one of the groups to back down. They're packing. They don't believe in Monroe anymore.

( If anything, there's that. )

This can't be Allison's legacy.

She did a lot, Scott. And as long as we win as a team, it won't be that she died for nothing.

[There's a pause, unsure if she should mention this because does Scott need to worry about his best friend right now? Maybe.]

But Stiles is gone. I think he went back to work.
