[It's not as though they weren't just working together after all. She makes her way closer, intending to make herself useful.]

The chicken is resting. The side dishes can be ladled into their vessels.

Neal finds the wall of records Doc and Rebekah have been amassing. He scans the titles.

"What's our soundtrack tonight," he asks, perusing. )

[And she will go to do just that, because she's a helpful guest. Rebekah makes her way over to Neal and scans her options again.]

I'm in a bluesy mood. What do you all think?

( He'll slide both out, one for now and one for later, always interested in Rebekah's life. )

( Neal nods.

"Maybe before long," he says, as the sounds of a saxophone waft through the apartment. )

No, he seems to have conveniently not returned to his apartment. But I was talking to Peter this afternoon and given the size of the situation he might be able to run some records.

[They'll find him eventually. Just a matter of time.]

( He likes Peter, too. He is the old fashioned type. The man not made anymore. Not in Purgatory, anyway.

Neal helps himself to the decanter and grabs four glasses, pouring one for everyone.

[She brings the final dishes over and goes to pull out her chair.]

( John-Henry takes the head of the table with Rebekah at the other, the couples across from one another but still able to mingle, lean, and cheers. )

[And with that they will settle in to enjoy the evening until at some point Doc's phone begins to ring, Donna's name flashing across the screen.]

( He gets up from his chair and steps out onto their small veranda. )

Hello, Donna. I am at this present moment entertaining a coworker, her husband, and my wife. Henry is with one of his uncles. I wouldn't presume you and Harvey have plans, but should you be near, you are more than welcome.

Under normal circumstances, we might take you up on that, Doc, but unfortunately this isn't a social call.

[She wishes it were. But there is some relief that little baby Henry is out of the way of whatever danger might be coming for them.]

Someone released a list onto the internet. A list of supernaturals, where they live, what they do, all their personal information. I'm on it, but so are you and Rebekah.

( The air shifts as Doc looks behind him at the life he and his wife have created, and two innocents. Unfortunately, (9) Doc isn't quite familiar with what the consequences of this would be. He does live a solitary, isolated life and had for some time. He only expanded the years prior. )

Rebekah and I are no longer supernatural. What of this list?

It's a hit list. Or ... a dead pool. I'm not sure. Some have prices on their heads, some don't but people working off the list attacked Harvey and I at the office.

[It's because he and Rebekah aren't supernatural anymore that she's so concerned.]

They tried to kill me, Doc. I don't think they'll be busy making the distinction about whether or not she's still immortal when it comes to your wife.

[She's still a Mikaelson. And almost as though on cue, a knock comes on the door.]

( Doc turns away from the balcony. )

There is a knock.

( Hit list gets through. That he understands in lamens terms. He would ask if Harvey is okay, wants to know he is in one piece, but that knock worries him.

He calls out from the balcony. )

Rebekah, are we expecting others?

No, I don't think so.

[She pauses eating, and gets up to make her way to the door. Pushing up on her toes, she leans in to check the peep hole before responding.]

Who is it?

["National Grid, ma'am. We think there might be a gas leak in the building. Could you open the door?"

Donna frowns as she picks up the sound from the other end. "Be careful, Doc."]

( Sorry, Donna, but he's going to have to hang up. )

Rebekah ( he quickly moves in from the outside area, holding the hand still holding the phone up. ) That was a - Donna, our neighbor, saying teenagers were pranking our apartments earlier about gas leaks. ( Doc has never been a good liar (2) ) Going door to door. One of those tok-tik virals. Don't pay them any mind.

( One of his pistols is in the bedroom and the other in the coat closet. They wouldn't dare attack them at their home, would they?

As if on cue, Rebekah's phone comes to life with ELIJAH across the screen. )

[Rebekah picks up on ... some of that (9). Not enough to deal with it, she'd much rather deal with her brother. She waves a hand to Doc to take care of it as she reaches for her phone.]

Elijah. To what do I owe the pleasure?

[Neal and Sara just look confused, probably.]

( Neal's (2) has the glass of wine he and Sara had beforehand help most of it go over his head. Sounds like a colorful building to live in. But, it's never boring in the Henry Holliday-Mikaelson residence.

Doc approaches the door, choosing to lock it.

"Rebekah. It's come to our attention that our names have been released onto a dossier on the internet. The supernatural and formerly supernatural. Including yours and your husband's."

Doc suspects Elijah is calling for a similar reason Doc called. )

Is that about our ne-erdowells at the door, Rebekah?

Oh that makes much more sense.

[She nods to Doc, before taking a step back away from the door, giving Doc space to do what he needs to do. Not that she's thrilled to have hunters at her door but hunters at least she can handle.]

Yes, it is. Please tell them that we're not in the mood for their childish pranks.

( "Are they there? Rebekah, you and John Henry are listed as immortal," he presses, telling her to be careful.

Doc opens the hallway closet, reaching for his beautiful peacoat Sara got him for Christmas, with his pistol inside, hand reaching into the pocket as he unlocks the front door again. Putting on a smile, he cracks the door open enough to show he's standing there, if maybe on his way out to be somewhere.

Just let him step outside and close the door behind him. )

Gentlemen, we're entertaining. A gas leak did you say?

( Inside, Neal waits, pouring Sara more wine. )
