| 8 You set yourself on fire | 50 you can't speak for the next minute, whenever you try, bubbles float out of your mouth
( Wynonna understands self-preservation, thanks. Her anger dulls her reflexes. She feels dismissed, not warned. There is also no outrunning the white light that engulfs the alleyway. They can't get to one another. She loses him all over again.
And then she doesn't.
After the light surges, it leaves behind a faint glow - no that's not a glow, it's flame. Dolls is on fire. All of Doll's is aflame. Wynonna's exclamation is nullified by a trickle of bubbles that float from her throat when she tries to yell. Confusion sets in as she attempts to yell something else and bubbles fiercely exit her mouth. She resorts to pointing, over and over again.
[Fortunately, the eighteen years they've been apart has been good in Dolls getting a handle on his dragon-ness. It took time, but he's managed to make the parts that have been forced into his DNA work for him.
It also means being on fire doesn't bother him as much. He waves his hands at Wynonna, indicating that he's fine - her bubble situation is much more concerning. But before he can do more than that, his eyes glow orange, and he starts absorbing in some of the flames, orange flaring light glowing up over cracks in his skin.]
( Her bubbles and face say, 'Because you're part dragon, of course you get your dragon shit together.' But all he hears and sees is the familiar trail of bubbles cascading from her mouth. She sighs a bubble out, hanging her head.
Bubble. Bubble.
She looks back up at him, bringing her arms into the equation. She gestures to herself, to Dolls, and then she brings both her hands up kind of like a ballerina or yoga instructor might but it's supposed to indicate explosion as her arms come back down to her side.
Like, is this happening because of the big explosion? )
( She bubbles, but her expression reads 'You think?' She sighs, more running bubble commentary as she knows he's probably loving this. She can't lay into him like he deserves, but he should wait, because when this wears off, she'll think of a whole binder's worth of gripes. So, there.
This all comes out in very violent bubbles that burst in a staccatto nature. )
[He lets her keep bubbling, because he knows she's likely chewing him out, but then makes a face the longer it goes on. This is ... weird.]
I know you want to yell at me, but it's likely better if you do it when I can understand you. We should go find the others. Maybe Aalis knows what's going on.

[He can read between the lines. He glances back over his shoulder, and then down at his shirt which is in charred tatters.]
We should go make sure that people are okay. Whatever happened, it seems to have a wide area of effect.
