[She gives a small shrug.]

The last one I ran into was kind of driven mad by a lunatic werewolf, so. I couldn't really learn much from her. But she did teach me a few things.

[Some things she hasn't had reason to use in a long time.]

Some I'm still trying to figure out.

Here I didn't think crazy was catching.

( Sometimes, Harvey goes for the off-color offensive joke. He's not a great guy. All the time. But, he's the guy you want in his corner. )

Now, I'm worrying my colleague Donna and your friend are in an 8 by 8 box and one of them might let off a blinding projectile that shattered our front windows.

Long story.

[But that's not the point. Lydia's about to comment on how Stiles is more durable than he looks, when the lights on the elevator flicker on and the numbers start counting down.]

Looks like they're okay enough to call the elevator.

[rehire]

Looks like.

( This was a very weird moment in time. )

We're no closer to learning what just happened, but hopefully we're all in one piece.

Stiles at least is tougher than he looks.

[She can't really speak to Harvey's friend Donna, though.]

[She gestures back behind her to the glass wall she very much shattered with her magic missiles.]

Is he.

( He saw a blur of limbs, but, fine. )

Nothing our tax dollars can't pay for.

( Not the biggest deal. )

More or less. We can't do everything for you.

[The doors open, and Donna flashes them both a smile as she steps out - the phone in her hands is a little singed, but otherwise she's safe and sound.]

Well. Looks like you two managed to not get magically combusted.

[rehire]

Some of us took greater effort at that than others.

( And some of them were the cause. Stiles' forehead wrinkles as he follows Donna out.

"Harvey, Lydia. Lydia, Harvey." )

We've met, Stiles.

[thefaxwhisperer]

We haven't. Donna.

[She holds a hand out to Lydia and Lydia shakes it. "Lydia. Pleasure."]

Likewise. Always happy to meet another redhead.

Well. Now that we've all survived whatever that was, is anyone hungry?

( He's not scared anymore, just starving. )

I could definitely use a drink.

["I'll second that." Since they're all being friends and that's what she and Stiles were looking for in the first place. "We should probably check in with the people we came with too."]

I know a great place not too far from here.

[rehire]

( Harvey checks his phone. )

Cell signals seem to be back. You two can connect with your friends and Donna and I can get our hands on a bottle of Macallan 18.

[thefaxwhisperer]

[Lydia's eyebrows go up. She does appreciate a man with good taste - especially if it's expensive taste. "We'll see you in a bit."

But before they leave, Donna reaches into her purse, pulling out a card and passing it to Stiles.]

Another good thing about making immortal friends? Connections keep us stable, even when everyone we knew as a human are gone. If you need it, you can call.

( "Thanks," Stiles says, saying 'Two vampire mentors in on week' to himself. )

Donna will let you know where we end up. Don't worry about all the glass.
