( He may need it. He and Lydia are more than capable, but he doesn't know what they're walking into. She'll find out and update them and then they'll have nearly all the information. It's the 'nearly' part that worries him.

I want you to see landmarks, to experience culture, to find yourself, not go on a wild goose chase in sub-zero conditions. You take me too literally.
