( He doesn't remember. He zooms back, sliding the lock over slowly, trying not to alert the person on the other side of the door.

[Cora nods, moving slowly and going to open the window to the fire escape, but as she tries to get her fingers around the sash, she notices something on the other side.]

Mountain ash.

[And the witches will wait for three, two one ... knock knock knock. "We just want to talk, Stiles."]

( Well, he can't pretend he's not here now. He goes to the front closet to retrieve his piece, calling through the door. )

Then let's talk through the door. Or better yet, in a public place with cameras and crowds.

[Jaqueline's always been pretty, but there's always something just off about her smile. It's a little too sharp at the corners, a little too wide in the eyes. So even when she's attempting to be charming, there's always something a little wrong about it.

All her charisma is in intimidate rather than persuasion.

The two witches let themselves out and Cora sets her jaw before turning to face him.]

( He hates them both now. He figured had he pulled a gun in a witch fight, he'd regret it. But he at least felt... something. Safer? )
