The train doesn't phase Ezra or his husband. Harvey is used to luxury, and the finer things, but this is a mission, it's not about the luxury.
And so the sixth of them meet. David may be Harvey's friend, but the Colony picked a side. They pushed. And if their push comes to their shove, they need this contingency.

Jackson sits between his boyfriend and his best friend. )

This is our inner circle.

What's our end goal. Putting the Colony aside. What do we want out of this?
( 'We' implies Lydia, but everyone is playing nice. So he'd like some clarification. Is this about having their own agenda and an upperhand or a contingency plan? )
[Which she knows is a long shot, given what they're doing. She knows that Harvey is likely thinking of a part of the larger picture, but that's her first priority. Even Parrish, who is fairly unkillable, is at risk here -- she's willing to bet any creature collector worth his salt is going to have cold storage for a hellhound.
Especially in the middle of Siberia.]
Priority number one is for all of us to get out. But, if things go far better than we expect ... Kirsanov probably has records regarding a lot of curses that the Colony has cast over the centuries. Maybe we should take some of that power away from the middle men.

( David and Ezra were under his thumb once, and David meant something more to him, more friend and ally once he was clued into what the husbands really wanted - and how they were going to get it. )
[Malia opens her mouth, but before she can interject, Lydia reaches for Harvey's arm: "And I trust him."
Malia closes it, then huffs.]
Fine. Don't fuck it up.

For this one, it's a fairly large range. We haven't tested the long extent of it, but I've used it at least over a ten mile radius.

OK. Priority one. Make it out alive. Priority two. Locate anything ancient, anything that could even the playing field, or upset it altogether.
( Sounds like a plan! )

Are you sure we can trust those witches?
[It's not that she doesn't want to, it's just that they haven't really done anything to earn it.]
