I've hit the maximum of what human medicine and human magic can do for me. I'm basically down to demon deals or vampirism and vampirism is the much better bargain even without my magic. And let's be real, if I don't put my foot down about the vampirism, my brother is going to do something stupid. He already sold his life force once, I'm not going to play fast and loose with his soul.

I haven't come to this decision lightly. I've exhausted my options, and honestly, even if I don't solve this in time, being a vampire won't be that bad. I'll miss magic, but if it's a question of extending my life or keeping my magic, it's my life, hands down.

But I guess it's still that part of me that wants to see if I can tell the limitations I've been given to fuck off.
Okay. Well, I really wouldn't want your brother to sacrifice any more of his life force for you or for anyone. So, I think what I'm really bad at saying is that, yes, you can have some of my blood. And I really wish you well and I hope you find the key to the lock you need.

If you did find the solution, what would it look like for others that might want the same thing? Would you need more of mine or my aunt's blood?
Not sure at this point, but probably not. This is more about data points than spell components.

So think of yours, Rebekah and Kol's blood as three respective data points. Kol is a magic user as a human who can't use magic as a vampire, you're a magic user as a human who can use magic as a vampire, and Rebekah is in the middle. A human who can use magic who used to be a vampire.
We don't know why the magic that makes people vampires negates most former witches ability to use magic. Like sure, it's a consequence of becoming a vampire, but what does it actually do to you. What does your blood and magic do differently than Kol's? Once I figure that out, then I'll move into the components end of things, but I think it's going to be more about finessing the magic of the original vampire spell versus using your blood every time.

And if your blood does wind up being a major component needed, then that's a non-starter for me. I won't put you in that position. You've got enough bullshit on your plate, I'm not looking to make it worse. I'll give you the research and you can decide what you want to do with it.

Most of them are named after famous songs. I don't think that's a shapeshifter thing, though, I think it's just a Crash thing. I've met some who default to different variations on one gender versus the other for day-to-day stuff.
