[She's heading back from a meeting with Abernathy, coordinating some responses to some current problems, and was intending to head to bed, but Shep has his "I wanna talk" face on.

She opens the door to her room, before gesturing for him to move in ahead of her.]

Maybe later. ( He shuts the door behind him. ) My sister raised the bat signal. She thinks there may be a way to break our family's curse. My nieces happened to escape it, but, we could put the kibosh on it forever. No more merge. But, we're going to need some firepower.

( He winces. )

[Just wait and see if her family problems start to raise their ugly head (and one day they probably will). While the Chens aren't contending with something as heavy as the Colony, the situation that brought them to the Underground is heavy enough.]

[She moves to sit next to him and will actually take that glass of bourbon because man it has been a day.]

Ezra dropped by my office today. There may be a way to finally break the curse.

( He taps the pen repetitiously as he reads, and then stops. He turns to face her. )

Ezra Katz? ( Or whatever his name is. ) He came to you now? After giving you the runaround at their house.

Knowing what I know about it now, I can understand why David was reticent. Ezra claims it was tied into cloaking the remaining bodies of the Inner Circle.

[She doesn't know much, but she does know that.]

He also claimed they had their own agenda from the beginning. ( He takes the glass, too, sipping, before slipping an arm around her. ) That does add up.

Well, breaking the curse now seems to serve both those agendas.

[But that being said, she takes a deep breath.]

Bonnie is going to get the information from Paris after I meet with David's lawyer in New York next week. And he said we need a coven, so I'm rounding up my siblings and getting some help from Bonnie's friends. Hopefully we'll have enough.

[daydrinker]

You've involved like that? ( How can she not be, it's her family's curse. ) All of you? Am I running interference with the girls?

Well, Lizzie is going to be in Europe, and Josie has been invited to bonfire season, whatever that is, so she's not coming back from New Orleans until later. But I am keeping them out of it for now.

[She takes a deep breath.]

Once we have all the information, I am going to leave it for you though. Just in case this doesn't work, you can give it to the girls.
