[They drive down to San Francisco, back to the hotel they stayed in the night before, so they can add an extra room to their tab and get some much needed sleep. After taking the time to clean up, Aiden sits down on the edge of the bed, pulling back some of the compartmentalization from earlier in the day to look at his husband.]
I didn't meet Dahlia when she was around, did I?
[It doesn't make any sense. The other two zombies seemed incredibly personal, but why Dahlia for him. What was she trying to show him?]

[Mia is ready to collapse into bed and sleep away a hard day's work. They'll have to bail out fairly quickly the next day, but her go bag is packed and she is clean, so she feels she's earned a good night's sleep.
William is already asleep and she's not far behind, sinking into the stiff hotel bed when her phone rings. She groans, not wanting to answer it, but it keeps ringing so she sighs and answers without checking the caller ID.]
Yeah?

Yeah?
[Sam knows that he and Allison have a long overdue conversation coming, but one of the fortunate thing about being surrounded by people is that there hasn't been a good opportunity to have it. Not on the drive back to San Francisco, not over dinner and not when they finally collapse into bed because it was a long day - there's no need to make it longer. They have time.
Josh and Davina take claim of Jed and Ben, promising to get them back to New Orleans in one piece, and they head back to Beacon Hills for their flight out of LAX. Chris and Scott head back to Beacon Hills together, leaving Sam and Allison alone - he was only going to be able to dodge that bullet for so long.
So he goes for a run.
Dean calls about Ben on his way back, and as Allison comes out with coffee, Sam takes one from her with a smile.]
Thanks.
[He holds up his phone.]
That was Dean. Nothing's on fire, he was just checking in.
[That's a small lie, Dean's emotional well-being is on fire and his brother isn't the most emotionally intelligent, but it's not the kind of fire Sam and Allison are going to have to put out - Dean's going to have to figure out that one on his own. Probably with some help from Elena.]

[Benny is not usually paired with Cordy for missions like this - she pretty much has a permanent field partner in the form of Angel, and no one is competing with him for that title. But Abernathy had a side project for Angel back in Los Angeles, and someone needed to play Slayer reach out so Abernathy promised he would send Cordelia with backup.
There was a speech. Angel is an intense dude. Benny's never really sure what to make of him.
But Cordy's always great - you know where you stand with her, and he's happy to have her back for this trip to Mississippi. And when they come up on the smoldering corpse of the ship in question, he pulls off his sunglasses with a frown.]
Well, shit. Your friends don't do things in half-measures do they?
["Half-measures doesn't usually get the job done." Cordy pauses, then turning to nod towards the brunette on the shore. "C'mon, there's Faith."]

[Davina, Josh and Aiden are great.
They make sure he and Ben have plane tickets back to New Orleans, that all their stuff is recovered from their car, and even find Jed a charger for his phone. Upon turning his phone back on, he receives and avalanche of texts and missed calls from Finch, and even a few from Josie, trying to figure out where he is and what happened to him.
He does text Finch back that evening. That turns into a phone call where she unloads three months of worry in one very direct and specific rant.
He also texts Josie back, letting her know that he is both alive and okay and that he'll tell her what happened later but does she think he might be able to salvage his first semester somehow? She says that she'll be back in New Orleans on Sunday, and they can figure it out then.
It's still weird, thinking that he's missed three months of time with his friends - he doesn't have his boyfriend's expanded sense of time, three months is a lot. But as he makes his way into the Abattoir courtyard and spots Josie and Hope on the fountain, he flashes them an awkward smile.]
So would you believe I was kidnapped by witches?
["I would, actually. Witches are kind of a problem right now." Josie crosses the space to him and pulls him into a hug. "I'm so glad you're okay. I'm sorry I didn't notice you were missing sooner."]

[After verifying that Spike is actually Spike, and that he really is alive, and having passed him off to Buffy for their own reunion, Mia takes advantage of the fact that she has a couple of days before she has to return to Star City, so may as well check in on another friend she doesn't get to see in person all that often.
To Hope:]
In New Orleans for a few days. Want to hang?

[After a long weekend in Battle Creek, Dean puts Elena on a plane back to Lebanon, so she can get back to work. She still worries, leaving him alone to stew in his own thoughts, but she'll call to check in when she can and hopefully things won't go too pear shaped.
After receiving a text from her father that he's here to pick her up, she starts to wind her way out of the airport. Before she reaches the door, however, her phone buzzes and she immediately answers when she sees Damon's name on the caller ID.]
Damon, hey.
[She steps off to the side, away from the flow of people, so that she can take the call but not hold up traffic.]
How'd things go on the boat? Is everyone okay?

["Hot damn, who is that?"
Ben looks up from his burger at Helene, his friend behind the bar, and he frowns, before glancing back over his shoulder to follow her eye line. When he sees her looking at Dean, who seems to have wandered in off the street, he shakes his head.]
Don't waste your time. He's taken.
[Helene smirks before reaching to dry another glass. "What, you already try?" Ben's head snaps up and he looks at her, absolutely horrified. Helene frowns, confused. "What? I know he's older but he's still hot."
He huffs out a sigh.]
He's my dad, Hel.
["What, no shit? Like your dad dad? Her head tips to the side, like she wants to question that further, but Dean must be making his approach because she immediately shifts gears with a smile. "Hey there! What can I get you?"]

[The table is perfectly set to match his mother's finicky manners. The food is sitting in the oven. The wine is decanting. All that is missing is three quarters of the guests, who said that they could absolutely uber themselves over to Wes' apartment from their hotel.
They do not force themselves upon Wes' apartment. Scarlett can never resist a fancy hotel.
After ensuring that everything is in place and dressed significantly nicer than he has for most of their dates, he glances over at Mickey with a small smile.]
I say this not because I don't want you to meet them but more because I know they can be a lot: last chance to have a sudden emergency you need to attend to.

[Losing two of her residents to points unknown has caused the expecting staffing issues you would expect, but she doesn't begrudge either Elena or Ezra their exits. Elena seems actually happy and not just floating through the motions in Mystic Falls because it's where it feels safe and Ezra?
Well, Ezra has much bigger fish to fry than a career in medicine.
As a result, however, she's spending a lot more time on the floor, and needing to barricade herself in her office to manage all the paperwork. This is one of those times, and she's made a lot of good progress on her stack of case notes, resident schedules and who knows what else doctors do when she hears a knock on her door. She glances up to tell said person to go away, but when she sees who it is, she blinks in surprise.]
Oh. Uh, hi. What are you doing here?

[Robin has been having the same dream for weeks.
He doesn't know what to make of it, beyond the fact that he's worried about it. The details feel almost a bit too real, and he wants to do something about it, but how do you do something about it? How do you say to someone hey, maybe don't go to X location on this day and not be able to truly tell them why?
So he doesn't say anything to Luke about seeing him get stabbed at a specific bar on a specific day in a bloody dream because he's trying not to scare the guy off. The guy he likes quite a bit. The guy he's starting to hope might be more than a friend at some point.
Still, he can't just do nothing, which is why he finds himself downtown, late at night, alone, in a far too expensive suit and shoes, looking for the Leaky Cauldron, a bar he's never been to.
As he rounds the corner to catch sight of the sign, he sees Luke reaching for the door and shouts before he can think better of it.]
Luke! Wait.

Nice to finally meet you, Alice.
[Jo flashes the other girl a smile as she passes her the bread basket as they settle in for lunch. It's Jo's treat for the girls, after having successfully finishing all her finals, as well as a send-off lunch for Lizzie before she flies out to London from JFK.
Alice takes the bread basket and chooses a healthy looking roll before passing it on. "Nice to meet you too, Mrs. Saltzman. And thank you for lunch, you really didn't have to include me."]
Nonsense, we've heard great things. And I may have been in college ages ago, but I still remember that completing your first semester is a triumph.

[Something about this doesn't feel right.
It itches in the back of her mind as she studies the burned out house in front of them. The Armory agents were summoned to recover some artifacts abandoned after a recent witch death. While they did say that the house had been burned down, and they may need to break some spell locks to recover what they came for, something about this is off.]
Not to impugn your navigation skills, but are you sure this is the right place?

[The thing about living on a college campus is there's not a whole lot of quiet. Especially when you spend a lot of time being bombarded by the surface thoughts of everyone around you.
As far as talents go, it's not the most shit of the pile, in Colm's opinion. Cal's going to win that contest hands down, every day. But it is a lot, and so he spends a lot of time either drowning the thoughts out with loud music or tuning in to people who have given him permission to hang out.
At school, that list is very short: Ivan.
Ivan's got great surface thoughts to listen to. It's a bit of a ramble, almost as though his roommate is sitting next to him, giving him a play-by-play. All in all, his brain is very soothing, and he appreciates the permission to hang out. Tonight, however, something isn't right.
Run run run shit shit keep running don't slow down they'll catch you
Colm pulls off his headphones, almost as though he's trying to see if it's someone else, but no. It's Ivan's thoughts. Ivan was supposed to be hanging out with Josie tonight.
Huh.
He pulls on his jacket, getting ready to head out and find them. As he emerges from the dorm, he catches sight of Hope's familiar auburn hair and calls out to her.]
Oi, Mikaelson! Know where your girl's at?

[So Kol isn't the only person that Kieran made her pitch to.
A lot of it was more idle musing, but as the plan started to truly coalesce, she started to keep it more to herself. But that means there's just enough people who want to see what she's up to now that a witch bloodbath is afoot.
She and Julian are on their way back from having dinner out, wandering through the French Quarter, when Kieran notices that the door to condo Julian is renting is ajar and she frowns.]
Did Crash leave the door open?

[Maintaining their local ties in New Orleans is important.
It's one thing to simply manage their human cases an human problems, but New Orleans has been trying to build something better; has been trying to build a community, and with Eliot working his way through being a vampire, she wanted him to have some additional support beyond Sophie.
All the things she never had and had to fight and claw for himself.
Vincent, also, likes to make use of their skill set on occasion. If some problems happen to float his way, he's happy to refer them to Team Leverage. Which means when those problems come up, she's more than happy to have dinner with Vincent to talk about it.
She's a social vampire, what can she say?
It's Eliot's turn to cook, and as Sophie is pouring wine for their guest, she catches the sound of footsteps just outside their apartment. She pauses, glancing back towards the windows, before she frowns.]
Vincent, did you invite someone else to dinner?
["No," Vincent frowns as he turns to face her. "Why?"]

[Ezra and Rusty's warnings allow them to have plenty of time to find the bodies and contend with them. Let them know that they're going to need the help of Gemini witches. The younger members of the group (aka not Freya), put them all in a group chat as they come at things from different angles, but after some creative spell work and a lot of brute force, Freya sends a single text to the group chat.]
