( She shouldn't care, precious Elena always gets herself into situations like these, and technically, she got her and her boyfriend into this one - but, she doesn't deserve to be bled out to old witches. Katherine knows what she herself deserves deep, deep down. She could never be Elena. As much as she wanted to be. )

It makes sense. We're loose ends. ( She indicates the phone. ) Or, we were. Elena can also handle herself. And, knowing her, has chariots of heroes on her heels.

We should still lay low until all this nonsense is done though. I'm sure they will let us know. But we may be out of the woods for now.
