[Normally, she and Beck would have stayed for Brogan’s New Year’s Eve party, but Beck’s new role in New Orleans means they’re expected to be present for something on New Year’s Day, so the morning after Brogan’s last concert of the year, they say goodbye to Beck’s brothers and fly home, making it safely to their apartment for New Year’s Eve. The plan is to stay in and recover, get some sleep and be bright eyed and bushy tailed for whatever public events were on the docket for tomorrow.
What they’re not expecting, however, is a knock on the door early in the evening. Not unexpected, they had ordered pizza. Lindsay hops to her feet, heading to the door, excited for cheesy goodness, and when she pulls it open, she finds she is sorely mistaken. It is not, in fact, the pizza.
Instead, there’s an extended period of silence, until the person on the other side of the door finally says: ”Hello, Lindsay.”]
