[Liv goes quiet for a moment, because while she doesn't know all the details, she's heard of a Slayer before (18). They're all over the Armory journals, though the Armory members themselves have never actually met one.

She honestly thought they were a myth.]

Wait. Like ... a real one? With a capital S?

And both of you are still alive?

She's a smart slayer. Knows we're a different kind of vampire, that was have souls.

( She made her case. )

And that we now have a group objective and get the devil out of Mystic Falls.

Well, if the Slayers' track record with apocalypses is anything to go by, that might actually bode well for us.

[She finds Tyler, slipping into his office and closing the door behin her.]

Still need a name for the journals though.

( Tyler looks up from his desk, setting aside something he's working on.

"Journals?" )

[And she hits mute on her phone before turning to Tyler to catch him up.]

Stefan is in a holding cell at the Sheriff's office and may actually be himself again, the Sheriff may be an honest-to-God Slayer and she wants to help us take out Cade. Stefan also thinks that Cade is either looking for a knife or a journal related to the Maxwell Bell.

That's a whole lot of may and thinks. And Damon's the source?

( He stands, though. )

Sheriff Mills is a slayer?

[geminated]

According to Damon, which means it probably had to be what she told him? But I'm not sure he really knows what it means.

{She's guessing, considering he didn't really react to her question.]

But when it comes to Cade, I think mays and thinks are all we really got. Might be worth it to look through the journals and see if we can find anything from a guy named Maxwell.

Yeah, we need Cade off our turf. I can get to looking for a Maxwell journal. Find out what else you can from Damon.

( He thinks for a second. ) Stefan's still locked up?

According to Damon. The sheriff picked him up, presumably when he got away from Dorian.

[She pauses, tapping her fingers against her phone.]

Don't Slayers usually have some kind of record keeper in tow? You think she came with her own book guy?

Watcher. Like a trainer. But, also a record-keeper.

( He turns toward one of the boards with their different projects on it. )

Who else came to town when she did? The librarian moved here right around the same time, right?

Right. Irish guy. Not at he exact same time, but maybe within the month. Not a bad bet.

[She drums her fingers.]

Watchers have to have their own resources, right? Maybe his books have something ours don't.

You think you could pay the town library a visit while I check our resources here?

( Divide and conquer. )

On it. Feels far more useful than continuing to try and scry on Dorian.

[Especially when Dorian doesn't want to be found. She places the phone down on Tyler's desk and puts it on speaker.]

Damon, if you're still with the Sheriff, put me on speaker.

( Finally, she's back. He taps the speaker button before holding out the phone. )

Liv, you're on with the sheriff, me, and my maudlin brother.

If you're a Slayer did you happen to come with a Watcher in tow?

[Lindsay briefly looks surprised at being called out, then uncomfortable. She doesn't mind being out and about, but Beck is more fragile than she is. She protects him just as much as he has her back. But she shouldn't have assumed that Damon's lack of knowledge of Slayers would be true for the whole town.

"Yeah, I did. He's currently looking for your intern. Why?"]

This is a book problem, therefore we need a book expert. Tyler is going to get a head start on finding the Maxwell journal but if you have any information on Cade in your Slayer archives, I want a look.

[Lindsay sighs. "Before or after he saves your friend's life?"]

Why quibble. Tell me where he is looking and I'll meet him.

( Damon looks to her for her answer and clocks how she wasn't ready to be asked about her "watcher." He'll be sure to grill Liv on that later on if they're on any sorts of terms then. )

We still haven't confirmed his life needs saving. Also, let's all remember Dorian did this to himself. It's a teachable moment.

( Say Dorian is alive. Please. Stefan doesn't need any more blood on his hands. )

[patrols]

[Lindsay sighs, before nodding.]

I'll call him and then drop you a pin. But I picked up Stefan out near the cemetery.

[Liv nods slowly because she knows that cemetery well enough. "Then I know where to start. Tyler will reach out if he finds the other journal."

And with that, Liv will hang up, leaving Lindsay with Damon, and she sighs as she reaches for her phone.]

[Lindsay steps away, putting some distance between herself and the vampires, though probably not enough. She scrolls through, finding Beck's number in her phone and placing it to her ear.]

( A watcher is currently in a graveyard, but, sans slayer. )

Hey. Have you found Dorian yet?

[Maybe he's already found him and they're off to the hospital, and it'll give Beck a little more time before he's ambushed by the Armory.]

[telegraphs]

Oy. Stay awake.

( And as he helps Dorian, one-armed. )

Aye. He was in an open grave. Said something about how it wasn't meant for him, but you know what they say about revenge, don't you, Dor? Stay with me. Took a mite minute to get him up and out.

Okay. You have incoming. Damon reached out to one of the workers at the Armory and while Damon didn't know what a Slayer was, they sure did. She wants to see if we have anything on a guy named Arcadius.

[She can't come out there to help him but maybe Liv will be able to help with Dorian.]

Calls himself the Devil, theoretically made his own hell dimension with the power of his mind. Her name is Liv, I don't know what she is beyond her working for the Armory.

[telegraphs]

I'll have to check my books.

( He heaves Dorian over onto the back of his truck bed with a thunk. )

And beyond her knowing what a slayer's about. And, guessing, a watcher. Liv. Right. Should I stay put then. Do you know if she's a strong lass?
