I'd say things didn't get that wild but Beacon Hills had their own round of erasing people from memory. I wasn't there for that though.

I wasn't there, but there was a very strange period where I thought I was tripping acid because my memories were all out of whack.

The Wild Hunt and Malivore are kind of similar in the sense that when they take you, they erase you from memory. No matter where you are. So I didn't really notice it when it was happening because I was in France but I also didn't really know what was going on either. As more and more people got taken, the more and more I forgot until I couldn't even remember why I was in France in the first place.

Getting them all back was a process. It was a head trip.

What was that like, being in France but with no reason to be? Were you still in your routine?

( Or did he wake up and just not know anything? )

I remembered my life as it was. It was just the Hunt trying to smooth a lot of cracks.

[He makes a face.]

It may have put me back together with my ex?

Allison? That must've been something when you got those back.

( He can only imagine. )

But, hey, it's good someone had your back. Memories are gone, but someone's there, too. Even if some of the answers are gone.

[Isaac nods because it was nice to not be completely alone in a moment where he didn't have many people. It's why he and Allison basically just agreed not to talk about it after.]

Yeah, and we figured it out. It was a sight-line thing, so Derek had to get us to come back to Beacon Hills so we could look at everyone and remember that we knew them.

Imagining how that first call went.

( He smiles as he does it, because he wouldn't wish that at all. )

Well, glad everyone remembered everyone and that Beacon Hills wasn't wiped off the map.

Oh, yeah. And we were flying blind for a while there because the Salvatore School didn't really trust outside organizations, thanks to Triad.

They started problem solving Prague all on their own, despite adult interference.

More like, leave everyone else out of it, students. Barely even let Elena in on why some people needed medical attention.

There were hunters, Bonnie and I got kidnapped. It was a whole thing. But in my defense, they did have an Original vampire following them around just in case things got really bad.

[The fact that he needs to defend himself, though. Isaac, you were kidnapped.]

( yeah, the 'in my defense' part lands with a cheeky eyebrow.

he doesn't inquire into which original vampire. following them around, would narrow it down to, elijah, probably. hope wouldn't forgive klaus. and kol wouldn't care.

well, if he knew they were in danger. but he wouldn't follow. he'd insert himself.

you pick some things up when sired to the original hybrid. and you're around his family.

though, he was mostly on the outskirts from there except for his incredible lapse in judgment he doesn't speak about. only live really knows. )

They're good kids. The school taught them well.

Yeah, I gotta say, I think that school - and partial offense to Ric - kind of ran itself. Also, there was like an entire semester they had no students.

( Or, like, two. )

But, they all managed.

( He still keeps his distance from Hope. He doesn't think she was ever told what he almost did. He doesn't think anyone besides a select few know. He and Hayley are good. But that doesn't mean he is. )

Yeah, that sounds about right. Apparently most supernatural problems need to be solved by teenagers for some reason.

After everyone got doxxed? Bonnie, Ryan, Caroline and I were together so we wound up going on the run together. We went from Mystic Falls all the way out to the Winchesters' bunker in Kansas.

[Which they didn't wind up staying in very long.]

She's a bit of a tyrant of the road trip. But, she does bring the best snacks. When not on the run.
