As far as the elders go, I'm pretty sure that Danny and Eliza will be the only ones left. She's been planning this for too long to leave things like that up to chance.

[And Danny ... well he's just a kid. It's a bit strange to call him an elder, but he is an heir.]

[He eventually sits across from her, raising one hand to rub against the back of his neck.]

I'd been trying to convince Patrick for months to be prepared. Warning him that something was going to happen. We knew that Monroe was circling, preparing to strike, for months now, we just didn't know where. We weren't sure if it was here or in the states. All we knew was that it was coming and the supernatural communities needed to be prepared.

[But none of the witches wanted to work with a werewolf, no matter what pack he came from.]

And he ignored you? Did .. did they thinks something was going to happen at the solstice?

He didn't ignore me. I think he just trusted a system that doesn't really exist anymore.

[He was prepared to have more security for the solstice, but he truly thought the hunters wouldn't bother them. Because they weren't bothering anyone else.]

He expected a certain level of respect that wasn't there.

Maybe not. But it still sucks.

[Big time. He doesn't know how he's going to explain this to Allison later, but that can wait a few more hours, until it isn't the middle of the night in the States.]

Do you think Danny will be able to handle this?

I lost my parents young. And my grandmother. All in the span of two years. I had friends, a support system. I... also died. I got through it. And I'll be there for him. However long it takes.

( If he'll ever be able to accept the mantle at the top of the coven. )

I lost mine too. Though not quite as quickly. It was more Mom when I was a kid, then brother, then dad, maybe a year apart.

[But that's a lot more complicated. Then there were friends, like Erica, who also died.]

I got lucky, though. I had people looking out for me, who took me in.

I'm taking him in. I already decided. I haven't even asked him, I don't know if he wants to stay with his coven, but I'm already making plans in my mind. Do you think I'm moving too fast?

( She's sorry about your mother, your father, and your brother. )

He'll need to know his options. And honestly, with his status as the heir, I don't think it's safe for him to stay here. He can bury his family and say goodbye, but if Monroe knows there's still a leader out there, she could come back. Taking him away from here might be the safest thing for everyone.

( She sits forward again, palms together against her lips as she looks to Isaac. )

[Which isn't the most helpful, but it's a reminder to the adults in this situation too. They didn't ask for a war, but one was brought upon him anyway. And now ... now they needed to do some damage control.

[Bela is in the process of destroying her clothes from the night before. Sometimes, there's not enough dry cleaning in the world to get rid of the blood. She's sadly had to learn that from experience.

Still, she glances down at the Caller ID and raises an eyebrow at Elijah before answering.]

I wouldn't call running into each other on the solstice an appointment, but, this isn't about business. Are you still in London?

( Does she know what happened? She isn't stupid enough to tell Bela she's on speakerphone. Bela, the vampire, probably hears the delicate difference, the tiny echo into the air... )

[Also she doesn't need to put her phone on speakerphone for Elijah to be listening. She assumes that Bonnie is aware of that.]

I need a favor, or, the witches of London need it. A five block radius was locked down by a powerful, now dead witch, and there are dead witches and hunters alike out in the open. We need memory containment.

( There's a lot to explain, too, too much.

"Is she asking us to compel an entire population?" Elijah asks from the small desk he's sat at. )

Bela just shakes her head because that doesn't sound right.]

We don't have the resources, and we're working with the witches. But, we need it quiet. Or, else it could get out of hand. Is it something you can do?
