[Stefan told Buffy he would make an effort to make friends. Buffy had encouraged him to talk to Faith, saying they would have a lot in common. Stefan's not sure what he would have in common with a vampire Slayer, exactly, but he's willing to take the shot.

He holds up his hand in a wave as he makes his way closer.]

I'm Stefan. I'm your patrol buddy.

( You'd be surprised, Stefan. You're in the presence of a murderer. Not to your caliber, she'd never dream of taking your Ripper title away from you, but she had her own unhinged stints. She cornered Buffy at one of the castle parties and got all the nitty gritty while Stefan was taking care of something else. Reminded her of Angel, to be quite honest. But, he also didn't. And Buffy made it clear, she and Stefan were not she and Angel.

Faith's out in the yard today, having just let go a group of slayers she'd been training with. )

He tangled with a siren, apparently. We had this vamp on our side not being himself. Turned out, vamps can be thralled.

[He winces, because yep. He remembers their time with the sirens all too vividly.]

Yeah. That was back when we were dealing with Cade. Damon had some ... useful first hand experience in that respect.

( Which may be insulting considering Stefan's vampire species, but, she didn't say Stefan had no soul. ) Turns out Circe's not just a myth, not that most shit isn't. Is. Where you been' Stef? Between two species of everything from witch to werewolf, you didn't think the gods would stay out of it. Me, I'm used to old world transformation, but the world's even older than I think. I'm a baby compared to what this world has in store.

In Mystic Falls, our big problems were always doppelgangers and Original vampires. Nothing so grand scale.

[But it's good to know that this is the field we're playing on now.]

Who do you think balanced all that power. That Original witch, she had god-like power. But, she had her limits. Until she didn't. Til she upset the balance and shit.

( Something gods used to do all the time, but for their cause's benefit. Or, their own. )

Yeah, I've heard of the Winchesters. Honestly hoping I never have to meet one.

Do you know if they work with the Slayers at all?

Slayers and hunters, they don't run in the same circles. Hunters are more slap dash. Lot less forgiving. They shoot, stab, and stake first.

( If Stefan heard anything about Faith's origin, he'd know how funny this is. )

The Winchesters also have ... the weirdest rumors around them. They sound like a disaster.

( The graveyard is pretty foggy, even this early in the evening, as she hops out of the truck. )

These vamps come up a lot slower than mine do. Putting us in the ground is not a requirement.

Don't know what to tell ya, maybe it was somethin' they did a long time ago for dramatic effect. Most of the time, they're buried cause they died. Your vamps would freak if they woke up inside a coffin. Buried alive.

( she shivers. )

How was it, learning vamps came in two flavors?

But about the same as hearing there are two kinds of werewolves.
