I haven't had it firsthand, but I've heard grand things. Hard to believe a vampire can cook something up this delicious, eh?
( he takes another sip of his beer. )
I'm enfianced to the former Mystic Falls sheriff. Lindsay over there. Don't know if you two ever crossed paths. You make it out to Mystic Falls before the invasion?
Damon has a thing for law enforcement. Something about him being friendly with the last sheriff. I don't see why everyone is so off of him, I don't pay attention to the stories.
[Isaac does not have any first hand experience with Damon really either. But he does give Peter Hale vibes.]
Personal experience likely counts for a lot.
[Derek remembers the person Peter was before the fire and Malia gets to experience the man who is trying to put himself back together. They have to. They're his family. Isaac does not.]
Well, we're still getting Danny settled in Knightsbridge. It's been up and down. And I have a lot of supernatural contacts in Europe so we've been starting to build more of an interspecies network than the coven had before.
[Trying to keep what happened with Monroe from happening again.]
( And then Bonnie realizes why the Salvatores are camped out in the kitchen.
Cut to Bonnie letting herself in, the door swinging behind her. ) In my defense, it happened suddenly and we were focusing on Elena and Jeremy. But, if you have any questions, I can answer them. We meant to loop you in.
( when they're all seated at the table off the kitchen, she starts. )
The Winchesters, Elena, and other hunters were after the next round of bodies. Every body, or bodies, has a failsafe. Hers ( Hernandez' ) was to bring back dead loved ones and to link them to her. If anything happened to her, she had - in this case, three bodies to choose from. Elena's parents and two other hunters, their son. That was the catch. Not them being alive again. Because, they are. All three are.
("So, they're licking their wounds and a witch is an Untouchable." Damon says, unhelpfully. )
No, they discovered a loophole. If one of the people brought back - they had to be the one to - to kill her. And they were. And so, Elena and Jeremy have parents again. They're alive.
I think it was harder because the other body brought back, Lucas, was the one that went. So, Elena and her parents and Jeremy had to wait. Right now, her biggest concerns are Thanksgiving. She's okay. She's taking it one day at a time. I'm sure she'll talk to both of you at some point.
( She pushes her chair back out. If they don't have anything else, she'll leave them in the kitchen.
Wanting air, she lets herself out onto the balcony to take in the sunset. She's been concerned about Elena for days, but she hasn't tried to carry that concern. And Caroline is there for her.
She does pull her phone out to text Caroline.
Let me know when you have eyes on Elena. Dawn spilled the beans and now Stefan and Damon are reeling. But, I think fine. Maybe we can all Facetime later?
Drive safe and don't read this if you're the one driving.
Hi, Ryan if you're the one to read this. Don't scroll up a few comments. )
( Bonnie smiles, looking back. Something occurs, something she hasn't had happen in years. She steps out of Isaac's arms and further left. Her mouth drops open, looking back at Scarlett and Isaac. )
[Scarlett, for all her deceptive relaxation, has some of the cheer drop from her face. An omen from a witch is never a good sign. Isaac tenses, his brow furrowing. ]

( A few chairs down, Beck takes a swig of his bottle of beer before sitting himself and his plate down next to Isaac.
"What a spread," he says, friendly, giving Isaac a smile. "And they still have the dark meat left."
no subject
Isaac glances over a Beck before nodding.]
Delicious. The cooks really outdid themselves.
[He can't remember the last time he had an actual Thanksgiving dinner, so he wasn't sure what to expect from Thanksgiving abroad.]
no subject
( And lucky for that. He raises his beer. )
Beck.

[Bonnie's plus one to be specific, as Danny and Bonnie are the ones who are actually friends and/or have stayed here before.]
I've heard Stefan is a cook?

[He leans forward to see who he's referring to, and the face does seem familiar.]
Right. That's Damon's friend?
no subject
( Maybe he should, though? )

He's important to Bonnie, so I play nice.
no subject
( Right? He heard, right? )
She's your lass?
no subject
She is. For about six months now.
[And it's been good. Better than he's had in the past, though he's also spent a lot of time alone.]

( Bonnie slides down to take a seat next to Dawn.
"I saw that, you got Damon'd. Don't take him personally. He's just an ass." )
no subject
[If we're using names as verbs, that is.]
I didn't realize that the news about the Gilberts was top secret so I may have spilled the beans.

[Because that's really what Stefan is concerned with.]
People don't usually spontaneously come back from the dead for good reasons. There's usually some kind of catch.

[He takes all that in, trying to imagine how that must feel on Elena's end, given everything that happened after their death.]
That must have been a lot.

Isaac excuses himself from Beck and goes out to join her on the balcony.]
Everything okay?
[He caught sight of the pow-wow in the kitchen.]

Don't mind if she backs into him and burrows a bit as the breeze kicks up. )
Hey. ( She sighs. ) Dawn started a game of telephone and told the Salvatore's Elena's mom and dad are back. I was just... dealing with that.
no subject
Ah. I'm starting to remember why I avoided holiday dinners. For some reason, a bunch of secrets get spilled.
[Scarlett smirks as she joins them. "One would argue that's part of the fun."]
no subject
I just got a really bad feeling.
no subject
What kind of bad feeling?
[Isaac is already ready to fight something.]
