At least whoever stocked the bar has good taste in vodka. If it was the swill we were drinking in Beacon Hills her tastebuds would have been in for a rude awakening.

I had my fair share of cheap vodka. Beer. Natty Bo. ( He makes a face. ) She could do worse things than drink underage.

And she'll probably get bored of it. Our healing factor doesn't leave much room for fun. But I had to at least give her a little shit for it.

It reminds me a lot of Beacon Hills. The whole sprawling town in the woods definitely gives a similar vibe.

[They'll probably be back more, now that Shelia is back - if Shelia decides to stay. She might not.]

The only difference is you guys seem to have mostly vampires while Beacon Hills gets a little bit of everything.

I'd say things didn't get that wild but Beacon Hills had their own round of erasing people from memory. I wasn't there for that though.

I wasn't there, but there was a very strange period where I thought I was tripping acid because my memories were all out of whack.

The Wild Hunt and Malivore are kind of similar in the sense that when they take you, they erase you from memory. No matter where you are. So I didn't really notice it when it was happening because I was in France but I also didn't really know what was going on either. As more and more people got taken, the more and more I forgot until I couldn't even remember why I was in France in the first place.

Getting them all back was a process. It was a head trip.

What was that like, being in France but with no reason to be? Were you still in your routine?

[Erica returns from her trip to the bar to one of the numerous small little side rooms that she and the Salvatores have sequestered themselves off in. It's weird to be the only people at the party their age, but Erica is making the most of it.

Erica releases the bottle and leans back on the couch with a shrug.]

Is vodka good or bad?

It's fine. Goes down easy with a mixer. He's right. Our parents love their whiskey.

( He thinks his mom got that from their dad. )

My dad was a tequila guy. My mom didn't really drink.

[So she wasn't really exposed to a lot of alcohol.]

And I'm epileptic so before I became I werewolf, my meds really weren't alcohol friendly. Not that I was invited to the parties people were drinking in anyway.

So, being a werewolf, that, like, stopped your epilepsy in its' tracks?

( That's kind of really cool. )

Kind of. I mean, it's still there. If my nervous system gets overwhelmed, or if I don't take good care of myself, they still happen.

[She definitely had one or two in the vault, which is when the alphas started seeing her as a problem.]

But not as often and I don't need to worry about my meds. Which means I can do all kinds of things. Wear heels, rock climbing, drink alcohol - basically whatever I want.

You couldn't wear heels before?

I could, it just wasn't recommended when your body could start seizing at a moment's notice.

[She didn't want to break an ankle having a seizure. She had enough problems in high school.]

Part of it is being a werewolf too. I just felt so much more ... confident, I guess.

[All the people who used to give her crap, she could crush like a bug. Which maybe probably wasn't her best impulse.]

I would, too. Anyone would. You get the strength. 20/20 vision. All that extra sensory crap. Was probably hard not to lose yourself in it.
