I am sure Buffy has all of her logistics handled. And should she need a sick day or a spa day, she has several someone's to step up in her absence. Why else did she activate every girl in the world.

( But to have others help hold her existential weight. )

Scarlett is a proponent of self-care. And she will call you out if she thinks you're neglecting yourself.

( Also, the wrinkles and the bags under your eyes end up being less attractive. )

Did I hear right, are you and your beau discussing move back to the states?

[And Lindsay will support Scarlett's plans for self-care. She's not wrong that it's important.]

His cousin called. A position opened up in the factions in New Orleans, and she wanted to see if he was interested in the job. There's a whole interview process but with Cami pulling for him, there's a high chance he'll get it.

[persistingly]

The factions. The - species factions?

( humans, vampires, werewolves - as this is new orleans. and the witches, he believes. )

He is to be representing the humans?

[patrols]

Yep. Which, we'll see how well having a wife-to-be that's a Slayer goes.

[Lindsay could see how that would work in their favor - Slayers generally stand in protection of humans so the human faction members will likely be glad to have her on their side. At the same time, the vampires may not be a fan.]

Whether they like it or not, I'm a part of the package.

If anything, he has in himself and his future bride a body guard.

The New Orleans factions have worked with all kinds. I do not foresee your presence from keeping your husband of taking up what sounds like his rightful mantle. I assume his cousin cannot take it up themselves.

[She shakes her head.]

She was the heir apparent, but unfortunately she's now a vampire. Which, while we're grateful she's still here with us, it's not exactly who you want running the human faction. Doesn't inspire trust that humans can come to them with problems and not get their arm twisted by another faction.

[persistingly]

You're right. They need a human. And Beck is that human in your eyes? Or theirs?

( He studies her for a second. )

If I may say, you don't seem too keen on the prospect. Melly, Scarlett and I love to find new worlds, new borders. But your world is ... more succinct?

[patrols]

Hmmm?

[She blinks at the accusation, before shaking her head.]

No, I love New Orleans.

[Which isn't the thing that concerns her so much as them being securely settled in one place. And once that happens, Beck is likely going to want to start planning the wedding. And that's when it gets complicated.]

Alright. I, as well. It has overbecome a destination for revelry, if you ask me, but its' charm still lingers.

( A few chairs down, Beck takes a swig of his bottle of beer before sitting himself and his plate down next to Isaac.

"What a spread," he says, friendly, giving Isaac a smile. "And they still have the dark meat left."

[She smirks and gives him a wink. "Me I'm usually in it for the ghost stories." But she appreciates him letting the topic go.

Isaac glances over a Beck before nodding.]

Delicious. The cooks really outdid themselves.

[He can't remember the last time he had an actual Thanksgiving dinner, so he wasn't sure what to expect from Thanksgiving abroad.]

I heard Buffy was in the kitchen, but judging by taste and finesse, I'd say she was overseeing the proceedings.

( And lucky for that. He raises his beer. )

[Bonnie's plus one to be specific, as Danny and Bonnie are the ones who are actually friends and/or have stayed here before.]

I've heard Stefan is a cook?

I haven't had it firsthand, but I've heard grand things. Hard to believe a vampire can cook something up this delicious, eh?

( he takes another sip of his beer. )

I'm enfianced to the former Mystic Falls sheriff. Lindsay over there. Don't know if you two ever crossed paths. You make it out to Mystic Falls before the invasion?

I did. For a couple weeks anyway.

[He leans forward to see who he's referring to, and the face does seem familiar.]

Right. That's Damon's friend?

Damon has a thing for law enforcement. Something about him being friendly with the last sheriff. I don't see why everyone is so off of him, I don't pay attention to the stories.

( Maybe he should, though? )

[Isaac does not have any first hand experience with Damon really either. But he does give Peter Hale vibes.]

Personal experience likely counts for a lot.

[Derek remembers the person Peter was before the fire and Malia gets to experience the man who is trying to put himself back together. They have to. They're his family. Isaac does not.]

He's important to Bonnie, so I play nice.

Well, we're still getting Danny settled in Knightsbridge. It's been up and down. And I have a lot of supernatural contacts in Europe so we've been starting to build more of an interspecies network than the coven had before.

[Trying to keep what happened with Monroe from happening again.]

People don't usually spontaneously come back from the dead for good reasons. There's usually some kind of catch.

The Winchesters, Elena, and other hunters were after the next round of bodies. Every body, or bodies, has a failsafe. Hers ( Hernandez' ) was to bring back dead loved ones and to link them to her. If anything happened to her, she had - in this case, three bodies to choose from. Elena's parents and two other hunters, their son. That was the catch. Not them being alive again. Because, they are. All three are.

( "So, they're licking their wounds and a witch is an Untouchable." Damon says, unhelpfully. )

No, they discovered a loophole. If one of the people brought back - they had to be the one to - to kill her. And they were. And so, Elena and Jeremy have parents again. They're alive.
