And Rebekah. But she's doing really well in New York. Henry's getting so big.

[She does very much enjoy playing the role of doting niece, in case you hadn't noticed.]

While you're stateside, I'm sure she would love a visit.

( Elijah never regained the close relationship he once had Rebekah, but, like Bela reminds him, he doesn't try. Maybe this is the first gesture in a long line of gestures. )

I think we'll be here for the immediate future. We've been across the pond for long enough. It's time. To make up for lost time.

[That's the great part of being immortal. You have plenty of time to fix your wrongs. Except in Rebekah's case, her life expectancy is drastically shorter now.

( As if on cue, there his brother leans, hands clasped around the railing above them.

His tone is familial. There is a warmth underneath any tension that may abate between them. )

["Seems like some things never change," Bela comments, amused as she gives Klaus a smile. "What a relief."

The day the Mikaelson men give up their entrances is the day all of us should be concerned.

( "I could have been painting," Klaus hedges, being ridiculous, but not moping. )

["Let's," Cami agrees, before turning to lead the way. "If you like, we left your room ready for you." She's mostly eyeing the bags that came with them, and trying to suss out of if they truly will be staying.

Bela glances over to Elijah and looks back at him.]

I can take our things upstairs if you want to catch up with your brother?

[Aka are they staying? It's Elijah's call and she won't push him.]

( Elijah waves her away as their drivers take care of it. They aren't savages. Elijah still has his manners and means of service.

Klaus takes one of the back staircases, beating them to the parlor by moments as he grabs a decanter already filling glasses for their - well, guests and family, he supposes. )

[She teases as she goes to settle into one of the chairs, glancing around at the sitting room as she refamiliarizes herself with it.]

( She gets a glass of bourbon for her efforts, as do Elijah and Cami, who receives a sweet kiss on the cheek. )

No, in fact I've been overwhelmed with all my posturing. I believe the last time Rebekah was here, she did a rearrange. Her and her cowboy spent a long summer. Henry is growing right before our very eyes. ( Speaking of, to drive that particular knife in with just the right twist, he smiles at his brother. ) Have you met Henry? Or, John-Henry?

Though she seems quite happy with her life in New York. It's good to see.

( Nobody can twist the knife like family. )

( Yes, he saw this in passing on a tabloid of all things. But, he did not do any research beyond that. )

It seems everyone got into some bit of trouble. These hunters and their lucky breaks that turn into mistakes. You'd assume they'd learn.

In my experience, people like that don't learn. They just get more bitter and determined to do things their way.

[She tips her head to the side.]

It's a shame that they'll only continue to suffer for it.

( He's decided. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow. But they have signed their own death warrants.

"And, it seems, they are not working alone," Elijah says. "Bonnie Bennett lost her magic thanks to a hunter who captured her and a werewolf named Isaac." )

We think it might be another witch within their ranks. A friend is currently investigating. In fact, I believe one of his associates might be the one meeting with your sister.

[Cami raises her eyebrows.

"Freya takes a lot of witch meetings these days. All I know about this one is that he's a friend of a friend of Marcel's."]

( "A friend of a friend, which is good enough for us these days," as the Mikaelsons don't have many. )

Freya is an esteemed witch. They'd rather meet with her than Davina Claire.

["Davina has enough keeping her busy. Besides, she's got normal human things to deal with this weekend, so I don't think she'd even let a friend of a friend of Marcel's ruin it."

( Because everything not normal about her targeted their family for so long. )

( Klaus steps around, taking a sip, and eyeing one of Rebekah's choice in paintings she had added. )

( Bela's phone buzzes, William or however she's programmed his name into her phone flashing. )

["Davina doesn't have anything to do with this. The person who requested the meeting requested Freya specifically."

Before Bela can comment, the phone rings and she frowns at the caller ID. Pushing to her feet, she offers them an apologetic smile before stepping out.][She makes her way down to the courtyard before pressing her phone to her ear.]
